“REDISCOVERING THE ATOMIC MODEL” [part three] “THE COMPTON EXPERIMENT and its devastating effect in the conception of reality” “Wise men speak because they have something to say; Fools because they have to say something.” [Plato] The following is a brief theoretical description about one of the greatest outrages intentionally used to impose a wrong version of reality upon us. A great experiment, and one among the most important pieces to finally solve the puzzle, became the greatest blunder in our interpretation concerning the interaction of E-M radiation with matter: “In QM the Compton scattering or Compton effect, observed by Arthur Compton in 1923, is the increase in wavelength (decrease in energy) which occurs when x-ray (or gamma ray) photons with energies of around 0.5 Mev to 3.5 Mev interact with electrons in a material.” [Wikipedia] For those who haven’t read my first two parts is this reminder of what any good candidate for a TOE must accomplish: “The aim of a unified theory is to understand the richness and diversity of the world in terms of a single theoretical scheme. The mass and charge of the electron, for example, are usually considered to be contingent properties, that is, quantities that just happen to be what they are (“things given”). They do not follow uniquely from any law of physics and for this reason, they could presumably be different from what they are. According to the view of unificationists, the mass and charge of the electron (and generally, the properties of all elementary particles) must ultimately follow from theory –they must be turned from contingent into law-governed quantities. Not only that, but the number and kinds of elementary particles must follow from theory too; not merely those particles that happen to be known at any given time, but also particles not yet discovered. In other words, a truly successful unified theory should be able to predict the existence of elementary particles- no more than exist in nature, and no less. This is a formidable task, especially because physical theories cannot avoid relying on what is known empirically and thus must reflect the state of art of experimental physics.” (Helge Kiragh 1999, 11 I will give you my side of the story in a moment, but allow me to introduce you with two classical examples I need you to keep in mind during the entire time. Allow me to call them samples. Sample No. 1. In the case two billiard balls collide with each other, we could observe how both change their original momentum accordingly with an overall conservation of the so-called “system’s dynamic energy.” Sample No. 2. In the case where two E-M waves intercept each other in space, we could observe how they perform an addition or canceling of the overall energy at the region of intersection [like two high-frequency radio waves]. On the other hand, the original trajectory and energy (wavelength) of both initial waves will remain unchanged for the rest of their trajectory. I want you to pay close attention to what’s follows. I’m not going to change neither the setup of the experiment nor the final results observed countless times in thousand of university labs around the world. I tell you what I’m going to prove: 1. I’m going to use the results of the Compton experiment to demonstrate my theory’s conceptual rightness. 2. I’m going to give you a complete theoretical description of what they believed actually happened. 3. I’m going to UNCOVER details about how an “innocent” experiment [such as this one] could be used and has been “used” to prop up an absurd physical reality and an obsolete and irrational atomic model. For those not familiar with the details of the experiment I’ll tell you what they did. A high-energy E-M wave was made to “collide” with a given material. According to their version, the strong wave was able to “nock out” one electron [in each atom] from its orbit, leaving as a result a lower frequency one [an infrared photon]. The so-called Compton effect is due to the reddish light observed across the material. Piece of cake isn’t it? Let’s see what their conclusions were: First act! One ray of high-energy light “hits” a “sub-atomic particle” [Which according to orthodox present views, are nothing more than independently existent particles assumed to spin inside the atom]. Second act! A “particle” is scattered from the atom [leaving a hole in the orbit of the “host” “… I could only assume…”] and as a result the same original high-energy wave [due to the “collision”] would lose part of its previous energy transforming itself into a higher wavelength photon. Don’t miss the true intention to connect the billiard balls with the result of the experiment and they planed to achieve it behind the mental comparison between the energy status of the incident wave [x-rays] and the final [weakened] infrared photons. Of course! If you were to confront these results (the way I’ve had described to you) it is not difficult to understand which of the two SAMPLES offered to you at the beginning of this article would fit into their reality… “How about a collision between two incoming balls?” The second sample is definitely out of the question! The message was wrong and dangerous. The wave-particle duality unfairly acquired an important piece of evidence that will derail physics for years to come. Bohr’s model of the atom was [once again] safe. Here comes my version of what really happened: As a high-energy quantum of light [photon] “hits” a given material [with a wavelength above the so-called “work function” for the specific material, an exact match between the absorbed energy and the “modulating capacity” of the atomic oscillators [present in the molecular bonding] will occur. As I had explained earlier in my article “Rediscovering the atomic model,” electrons were nothing more than the [same] spatial projection of deeper harmonics [namely quarks and protons]. Once the energy pushes the mass present inside those “atomic oscillators” to the vacuum, energy gets re-modulated into a new quantum that will later be identified as one electron [outside the atom]. The process is similar to the manufacture of one photon after E-M energy was supplied to an atom in earlier experiments with light. A very close phenomenon was proposed years later in regards to the modulation of phonons from thermal energy [heat] inside those same “oscillators.” One little point for those not familiar with my previous work. Mass was spinning inside those harmonic couplings [“atomic oscillators”] with the sole roll of filling the “blanks” after the cancellation of energy taking place during the pattern I called “standing nuclear waves” between two specks of radiation. I hope you didn’t imagined even in your wildest dreams that the universe was willing to accept the presence of a perfect vacuum in space (no matter the tiny little region of space an atom could take up)… did you? Once the “electron” modulation took place, a very interesting process is about to happen. I’ve said in many occasions that due to the nature of the vacuum [ether] no FERMION could survive that violates the “lepton factor.” If a [physical] wave corresponding to an “electron” happens to propagate through space, it has to fulfill the condition imposed by the universe: no more and no less energy than the one of a lepton. The obvious result of a high-energy wave (as supplied energy) during the Compton experiment was expected: Too much energy density inside the “electron.” The INSTANTANEOUS universal response didn’t take long either, resulting in a process I decided to call “DISENTANGLEMENT” of energies. Almost immediately and before the “electron” was even out of the oscillator, the universe forced a “disentanglement” of energies in two different quanta. One was the regular “electron” and the second one was the extra energy not allowed to continue with the first [the infrared photon]. The process of energy “disentanglement” is followed by an angle of scattering between the two energies involved in the initial system and that’s the true reason for the existent scattering angle between the “electron” and the red photon. The angle between both quanta was blamed to the high energy involving the collision wave-electron. This is how I see it. As you may have concluded at the end of my story, I haven’t made changes that would result in differences with respect to the final observation. However, both stories are incompatibles one another and therefore one has to be true and the other… flawed! While the official version of the experiment assumed that the incident energy wave was reduced to a longer wavelength as a result of a “collision” with an independently existent “sub-atomic particle,” my version contradicts it entirely. My arguments account for the absorption of the same wave into the atomic oscillators [entangled couplings between two atoms] and the eventual manufacture of one “electron” plus a photon. While the orthodox QM tries to link the incident wave with the infrared photon as one and the same wave, my theory explains the origin of those low energy photons as a [FTL] action of the universe in a process I named “disentanglement.” “DISENTANGLEMENT” consists in a “quantized splitting” of energies in correspondence to the “lepton factor” imposed by the nature of the vacuum. “Electrons” in Bohr’s model of the atom [the present one in use] are believed to exist as a given physical entity. No theory was ever offered to explain the origin of those “particles” with mass and charges of their own. QM associated them with a so-called wave function since their nature couldn’t be explained otherwise. However present scientific concepts still state the nature of “electrons” and other “sub-atomic particles” as entities owing a tiny mass which makes them independent and eternal. My theory defines two different aspects of the atomic reality. One aspect has to do with the integral pattern that “brings atoms and therefore matter into existence.” In my atomic model there are no particles spinning in shells. The shells are harmonics originated in the confrontation between two specks of radiation at the very core of the atom. My model offers logic and common sense to why atoms are neutral. The second aspect of my theory refers to scattering of quanta as a result of mutual interaction radiation-matter. The scattering process is a manufacturing one. Inside those “atomic oscillators” external energy is transformed into a different configuration. Light is transformed into an entirely different photon and the same way an “electron” is made from supplied external energy too. My version of the Compton experiment mentions the roll played by the fast action of the universe in the process called “disentanglement.” At no time, during the exposition of my arguments, “electrons” had been “knock out” from their shells. I have always considered such statement as one of the greatest distortion of reality in the history of science. One last word… The photoelectric effect worked out by Einstein is a similar version of what we have seen in this article. A lower frequency quantum [ultraviolet radiation] was used instead of gamma rays. In the Einstein-milliken experiment “electrons” were manufactured the same way too. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- HUMANBYDEFAULT www.humanbydefault.com
