I'm giving another attempt at describing why gravity is a past tense force. The reason is that what we see asides from our immediate environment of subluminal speed. All of the light we are receiving are all light from the past. No one has ever seen a light from the future. Since gravity can interact with light, the light coming toward our optic nerves were all slowed down to within light speed or even lower speed. So, with gravity interacting no light can be faster than light speed. Because gravity is pushing light back to the past. If gravity is zero then light can be superluminal and therefore we can see the future as well as the past and in addition our mass also disappear.
