the new theory of evolution, and the supreme form - 11-11-2005, 02:01 AM

primer: this is a really long post (perhaps it should have been an article?), but hopefully you all will find it interesting enough to read it thoroughly, because I really look forward to your comments! So please read ahead, you may find it interesting, important, and most importantly, somewhat revealing!

The new evolution: animal--->being--->deity

Evolution is seen as the progression of animal species via natural selection. In this regard, evolution is well understood, but the context of evolution, it's purpose, and the evolution of evolution itself, is not well known. Until now.

According to my “everything theory,” evolution takes on different stages as it evolves. We all know that evolution doesn't necessarily evolve from "primitive" to "advanced" species, however, given enough time, this progression from simple to complex is the net effect, evolution's ultimate outcome if you will. In other words, throw some DNA onto a planet, let evolution teem forth, then bombard the planet with a couple of comets whenever evolution begins to stagnate, thus resetting the clock, and eventually, once you reset the clock enough times (via comet collisions), letting random events and mutations take their course (guided by natural selection), you get humans, or in other terms, a "highly intelligent, advanced species." This species will then begin to control it's environment, via technology, preventing the uprising of other promising species. As such, this "super" species will have no natural enemies, and will even take measures to assuage the assault of parasites, viruses, and other disease. The advanced species will also inevitably develop certain technologies, asteroid busting missiles, etc., to prevent any incoming comets from resetting the evolutionary clock again. The only thing the advanced species will then be at the mercy of is a super-volcano (such as the one poised to explode at yellowstone). Once the species begins to colonize outerspace, however, it eliminates this last possibility of being destroyed by a super volcano.

Thus by developing and using technology, the advanced species has ushered in the next chapter, or stage, of evolution: technology itself. With the advent of technology, natural selection is circumvented, and the species ceases to evolve biologically in a traditional manner. Instead, technology evolves, and this technology should be viewed as a natural extension of evolution, not something different or apart from it. Thus evolution is a phenomenon not purely biological; evolution is really just a progressment, of life itself, and this includes technology. And what are we species making this progressment for, you might ask? Well obviously questers, we are making this progress for the TOE.

As such, it may be declared that the ultimate purpose of evolution, it's function, and the only reason it exists at all, is to bring about the TOE. Thus evolution is synonymous with the evolution of the TOE. There is a very important reason why evolution would do this, but you'll have to wait 'till I disclose the full TOE to find out. Obviously though, evolution is important to the TOE, and visa versa.

I would like to invoke a naming system for species as they progress up the evolutionary ladder. All species/life forms may be named animals. So humans are animals as well as dogs and cats, and single celled archaea and bacteria etc. Even God, if he exists, would have to be considered an animal. We define animals as those creatures which are aware of their immediate environment, which is all of them technically. When they become intelligent enough, animal species will become self-aware, and we call this sentience. Due to sentience, such an animal can then be called an animal being, or just "being" for short. Humans are beings, obviously, but it is likely that we are not the only true beings on this planet. Chimpanzees and other apes are also likely beings, as well as dolphins, and possibly others as well.

The next step in their natural evolution is for beings to become universally-aware, that is, aware of the universe and it's fundamental nature. This universal awareness is realized once the beings have fully developed the TOE. When that happens, the animal being is no longer just a being, it is a deity, or supreme being, similar to the notion of God. This statement of mine may raise a few eye brows, and I'll admit it does sound quite controversial, but it is true, I believe, and I think you fellow questers can see it for its logical reason.

Now that I have explained the outline of evolution's path, from animal to animal being, to animal being deity, we shall tie in another aspect of evolution: convergence. Convergence is the phenomenon whereby two separate species who occupy the same ecological (naturally selected) niche tend to evolve in a similar fashion, though they may not be closely (or even distantly) related. So for example, bats, birds, and butterflies all share some similar features, namely wings, but they have all arrived at this adaptation by different mechanisms. This is convergence, and convergence becomes a key factor as organisms move up the evolutionary ladder. For example, some primitive organisms may have multiple eyes (such as bees) but all higher organisms conform to the form of two eyes. Two eyes is just the superior form, and we will see that the idea of a superior form is a legitimately correct and substantiated idea.

The creation and usage of the TOE can be seen itself as a sort of ecological niche or adaptive strategy. As such, all species of deities who evolve as different species should share a similar "perfect" form in the end, according to the phenomenon of convergence. Humans knew this intuitively when they first became beings, and that is why it is written in the bible that man was made in the image of God. The bible and other religious mythologies hold a wealth of intuitive, insightful information. So what the people who wrote the bible were really saying was this, "convergence must be a factor in the evolution of a species of beings destined to become a species of deities.”

So now let us examine the human form, what we are told is the image of God (i.e. the image of a deity), and see why this form does seem like the best to suit our cause as supreme beings and future masters of the universe. In other words, we will see why humans have the perfect form for performing our universal duty of becoming deities.

Well for one, perhaps the most notable adaptation of humans is bipedalism. Bipedalism is the most efficient form of transportation/locomotion, aside from flying. Just ignore flying for the moment. In order to be efficient and conserve energy, aspiring deities preferentially choose and evolve the form of bipedalism. I thus conclude that all supreme beings would more often than not evolve bipedalism, because bipedalism is a perfect form.

The other reason why bipedalism is the best form, besides efficiency, is because it frees up our other two appendages to become arms and hands. All primitive land dwelling animals will start off with lots of legs because this makes them more stable. But really the minimum amount of legs you need to remain stable is four, thus the most likely scenario for the evolution of bipedalism is that a four legged animal will begin to walk upright, and this will leave them with exactly TWO arms, no more, no less. Two arms then become crucial for manipulating things and further investigating the environment. Apparently, two arms is a perfect form.

The hand is a crucial adaptation in this regard as well. Five fingers is probably likely, because you need four fingers on one end (again for stability) and one opposable in order to actually grab things. Having more than one opposable thumb is superfluous, unnecessary, and energy wasting. Thus the form of the hand is most likely shared by all deities, because it is a perfect form. Waving to say hello is a common ritual for humans, because they are in effect saying, "look, I too share the supreme form of the hand. We must all be the same!" Flight is not chosen by aspiring deities, because wings are not good for manipulating the environment like hands are. Indeed, technology will allow the beings, who are aspiring deities, to fly eventually anyway (thank you Wright brothers).

With the advantage of having arms with hands, which is a serendipitous advantage brought about by becoming bipedal and thus having two appendages with “nothing to do,” beings can then begin manipulating and investigating the world, which is necessary for the beings, who are aspiring deities, to develop science and intelligence.

Deities will never evolve as creatures of the ocean, because from the ocean one cannot view the heavens and the universe, and this is needed in order to eventually acquire universal-awareness. Not to mention, creatures of the ocean cannot easily venture out into space without carrying a bubble of water with them. This is theoretically possible, but again most deities will never evolve like this because it is much more energy wasting and difficult. Thus all deities should be land-dwelling, because it is a perfect form, and thus dolphins will probably never progress beyond their status of beings.

So hopefully I’ve explained it well enough that all of you can see the importance and sheer magnificence of the human form. To describe the most significant aspects of this form, it is a land-dwelling, bipedal, arm- wielding, handed, five-fingered, two-eyed, one-nosed, one-mouthed form, and it may be stated with reason that all evolved deities will more often than not share this same perfect form. So in quite a startling way, the Bible was correct when it said “humans were made in the image of God.”

I know these are some crazy ideas, but I think they are foretelling and light shedding, and they should be thought about deeply. Please, everybody, tell me what you think about these ideas put forth above. Do you agree or disagree with these new implications for evolution? Remember, the main implications are this, A) evolution (multiple stages) refers to both the biological and technological progression of life, B) the function, purpose, and meaning of evolution is to bring about the TOE, C) the evolution of animals is characterized by three main phases: environmental awareness (the animal phase), self awareness (the being phase), and universal awareness (the deity phase), and D) all animals who evolve into deities will more often than not share a similar "perfect" form, reminiscent of the human form.
