    Wasp

This isn't an unexplainable story, but here goes.. Some years ago on a hot day there was a wasp in my livingroom. It was exhausted and walked on the floor. I let it walk on a piece of paper and put it outside with water and sugar. I hoped for the wasp to regain strenght, which it after a while did. I stood in the doorway and it flew away. Well, it actually didn't. It regained enough strenght to fly and it took of, but didn't fly away at once. It remained at eye altitude and looked at me for a while and then took of. There was a feeling of contact, which I still remember as to be very special.
    Life...is a state of mind.

Omni,I can identify with your tale, and I have had some strange things happen like that, when I was swimming in the sea in Turkey a year ago
I saw a honeybee floating on the surface of the water,in obvious distress,I
placed my hand underneath the bee,and took it ashore, and placed it on the sand,it seemed to shake itself, then flew off,on theway back to our villa,we
stopped to admire a beautiful flowered garden, the man who was the owner,
called us in to look at his plants, while we were doing this his wife came out
with a cup of Turkish tea each and some HONEY,sandwiches!Wasthat the bee saying thank you.???
    kind regards michael.

That's exactly what I thought..it was saying "thank you". Your tale I would call a coincedence, but one that nevertheless makes you wonder...

It certainly does make you wonder,I think that we are indeed connected to all life, and sometimes this is brought home by these
    occurances.

    kind regards michael.

A giant green grasshopper or cricket jumped into a boat I was on in Costa-Rica,we were
heading out to sea, around a headland and up a river to a jungle lodge,we had to get out
past some enormous breakers,it was very windy and extremely rough,I could feel the little legs of this grasshopper gripping my finger tightly, struggling to hold on,it was getting
washed with spray and battered by the wind,as we neared the end of our journey where it
was calmer and the wind dropped, this little fellow started washing himself, looked very cute,as soon as we got ashore, the little thing seemed to look me in the eye to say thanks
then jumped of to carry on as usual, therewas I feel a connection made with this charming
    little insect.

    regards michael.

We can quantify the substance that causes the euphoria that you are describing. The substance is called DMT. It's a naturally occuring drug found in all living things with concentrations in the brain, usually it is the chemical responsible for deep sleep, but it can be produced in the lab and smoked; upon smoking the user reports he feels a deep connection with all living beings.

Could this be part of Darwin's Plan, for living things to work together to exist in peace?
