Phoenix, Arizona, 1963.
Dick Robertson received a detailed report from his four year old daughter, that she had been carnally violated by someone in a dark room, who whispered to mute his identity, and who had alcohol on his breath.

Besides himself, there were two other adult men in the house, for a total of three suspects, including himself. As head of the household, he chose not to call the police and elected to secretly and alternately blame his resident stepfather (A Native American Ojibway Chippewa) and his youngest (22 yr old) brother. Which of the two he blamed it on, varied, depending on who he was talking to. The alleged offense took place in Arizona, where there is no state or federal (Title 18 ) statute of limitations on carnal child abuse.

Dick Robertson spent the next 36 years covertly telling other people that his youngest brother or stepfather had violated his infant daughter. Since he had to take some kind of action, this was his chosen method of ‘dealing with’ the described incident, in order to take an ‘initiative posture’, in the eyes of his stunned, consternated wife and three children.

Neither his youngest brother or stepfather were ever confronted. The herein provided information came from 'informed' friends of the secretly accused, who had enough confidence in them to tell them what was being said about them, to - and by - hundreds of people, and why.

Upon learning of these accusations (seven years later), the youngest brother contacted several police authorities, all of whom refused to take action against Dick Robertson. On two occasions of this record attempting to acquire police action, the record was locked down in psychiatric wards. The complaints never reached any police reports. Former Santa Cruz, California, district attorney and judge, Arthur Danner, played a principle role in this pernicious monument to socio-legal iniquity.

(This record has never been legally accused, let alone convicted, of any felony, whatsoever...)

It is a felony not to report such a crime, and, it is another felony to subsequently blame it on anyone else. Anyone contributing to the distribution of what amounts to such a qualified ‘rumor’, is likewise a felonious accessory to the fact. Unfortunately the authors of this ‘rumor’ have carefully guarded their anonymity. Dick Robertson succeeded (for decades) in persuading his daughter and wife, and what eventually and accumulatively amounted to hundreds - if not thousands - of pompously enthusiastic and angry people, in dozens of locations, that his youngest brother, or stepfather, was responsible for the described crime. The social consequences projected on this record's stepfather, and this record, are ineffable; nor have they abated.

Due to severe abuse from his father, on 11 September, 1990, Dick Robertson’s youngest (28 year old) son, Douglas, doused himself with gasoline, and immolated himself in his mother’s North Hollywood kitchen. Notably and ironically, this incident preceded, eleven years - to the day - the catastrophe of 9/11/2001. Douglas Robertson suffered third degree burns on all of his body, except his face and groin. He lingered for about six weeks, and died on or about Halloween day, 1990.

Dick Robertson also attempted to implicate his stepfather and youngest brother in the violation of a second child. The below attached documents clarify the failed results of that onerous endeavor.

In 1999, Dick Robertson, under imminently forthcoming prosecution charges for embezzlement to cover his gambling debts, and the above described history, drove his car from his North Hollywood residence to a nearby parking lot, consumed a pint of hard liquor, and fatally shot himself in the head. Shortly thereafter, his betrayed and bewildered wife, perished of a heart attack.

Moral:
If you’re not the guilty party animal and do not wish to be dwell in stigma, among the three ‘suspects’, contact the authorities; exonerate yourself: resolve the case ASAP. Lest you perpetrate and endure the extensive gauntlet that the obsessively gambling, heavy drinking, fugitive felon - Dick Robertson - put himself and so many others through; having done so much, to so many, for such a long time.

(The assailant’s name is excluded in the below documents, due to sealed records of a criminal action by a juvenile.)

Thank you more than words can say.

I repeatedly requested a polygraph, while instead, the police influenced psychiatrists to put medical holds on me.

The question, 'Why didn't you report this earlier?' was asked repeatedly.

Of course I couldn't report what I didn't know about, until learning of it through people who realized the 'collaboration' for what it was.

'Why wasn't this reported earlier?' Indeed...

In the immediate wake of the crime, he knew he couldn't stand up under the questioning of experienced police officers, in the presence of two men he was fully aware, knew nothing of the offense. A polygraph, for example, would inevitably have found him precipitating through his own sphincter.

In 1970, when he told me of the issued incident, and that our (now deceased) stepfather was responsible, I asked him if he ever reported it to the police or confronted Bill Oshie (our impeccably irreproachable stepfather).

He replied that he'd not ever reported it to the police, or told Bill Oshie. I asked him how he learned of the incident and if he was sure Bill Oshie did it.

He flatly replied 'I had a hunch', and was evasive about how he learned of the issue.

I said he owed Bill Oshie a confrontation - he replied:
'Why don't you go find him and tell him?'
I resolved, 'That's your obligation'.

It was shortly after that exchange, that I reported this to the police, who consistently questioned why it wasn't reported earlier. As though they didn't understand a word I was explaining to them... Dick Robertson was a computer engineer, a lawyer, and a Master of Business Administration.

Albeit, the original antagonist in this theme made everything perfectly clear, from start to finish.

I own an audiotape recording of the perpetrator blaming our stepfather.
As mentioned earlier, without having reported the crime, that's a felony of itself.

Who he blamed apparently depended on who he was talking to.

Racial bigots had no trouble perceiving 'the Indian' as culpable.

No one who knew of and participated in it, considered 'the father', as a likely suspect.

Then there is the factor of the wife and children, not wanting to know the truth...

I have since then learned that with the statistical occurrence of such domestic incidents, the father is responsible, 80% of the time. This statistic is then followed by other (almost invariably male) family members, and then, close friends of the family.

Here we have an object lesson in many plateaus - notably, this social travesty seemed to draw in certain types of personalities - individuals who, themselves, were particularly guilty of other trespasses... The 'collaboration' (None Dare Call it 'Conspiracy', which is what it was) apparently bolstered them into feeling 'superior'. People who one might not ever suspect of giving themselves over to something like this, and becoming an active part of it.

There is much to be learned from debacles such as this.

One of it's protective elements is, uninvolved people don't want to talk about it.

Rascal ...this thread tells the story of a personal tragedy (yours ?). I am unsure, apart from sympathy, how you wish others to respond.

Sex crime, pedophila in particular is a dark (dimly perceived) crime.

This is my example.

A young girl was at a party, drunk, went to bed late. Lets call her Anne. This girl is man-wise, very attractive and experienced altho only 18. The house was her friends' Father's house.

The Father entered the room late at night, after the party, after every one else had gone to sleep, and made inappropiate advances. The girl resisted successfully. No one else was aware of the incident.

The girl did not like to tell her friend (Bee) about the father (understandable ... Step 1 into the darkness) She did tell another more distant girlfriend of the incident.

Bee's Boyfriend (big bloke .. 24) was once accused by Anne of making advances ... this was all part of weeny boppers gossip .. not to be taken seriously ... .(truly)

Just before New Years Eve the distant friend falls out with Anne and tells Bee about her father.

The New years eve party was at my house. Unfortunately I was on shift until midnite. When I get home, everybody is in tears. All these girls and their mothers.

I try to find out what is going on. Bee's boyfriend in drunken anger has denigrated and abused Anne for telling lies, telling everybody she had once said the same about him, then jumped off my third floor balcony onto the loading dock roof 2 metres below. No one knows where he is or why he did this .... except that he went onto the roof. Its pissing down rain, slippery and dangerous, a great way to spend the first hour of the new year. I search the wet corrugated iron roofs stretching endlessly. I find him, he is argumentive, big and violent. Eventually i get him back to the unit and force him to leave.

Everybody is distressed and in tears ...... and things have been said, and accusations levelled, that will cause great change to this little social circle in the year 2008.

But not for a certain person ... the Father. No blame for him ... he does not have to deal with the damage and destruction he has caused .... only us .. we have to pick up all the pieces and put it all together again.

The big fella is actually my friend .. we have drunk many times together. of course I had to forgive him and allow him back ... he lives at my place three-four days a week. The girls have to sort out their new outlooks to one another. We have all aged thru the incident

This is why I call it a dark crime .... Its effects are destructive far into the future ... but its cause is very rarely revealed and exposed.

That's the motive for posting the contents of Cover Your Caboose - to expose and counteract... I suppose you could say its an appeal for sympathy, but its much more an appeal for 'closure' and justice.

The criminal antagonist suicided and left a wide swath of rumors and questions behind him.

My Vets Administration counselors (I've got PTSD - post traumatic stress disorder) advise me that when false 'rumors' get started, there's no effective way to completely stop them, but, that they can be superceded with a counterstatement.

I was told of an exemplary case where a young man was rumored to be responsible for arson. The word went out that he started fires in housing developments. Eventually the guy who really did it was caught and prosecuted.

Meanwhile, the 'rumor' about the innocent kid persisted, just as though the proven truth didn't matter.

Counselors persuaded the kid to publish the proven truth, which he did. The rumors still persisted but no longer carried any weight, because they were quelled by the widely distributed publication.

So the false word wasn't stopped, people still remembered it, but it was superceded by new information which foregrounded the falsity whenever someone would subject it.

That's basically why I posted this thread, Cover Your Caboose.

As your exemplary story demonstrates again, these kinds of things happen a lot, but usually they don't get resolved. Too often the antagonist gets away - even when he gets caught...

Such is the nature of false rumors. Especially when they have anything to to with carnal violations, which, again, is what your story includes. The facilities of reasoning in some people go haywire, the moment anything having to do with 'sex', is introduced into the issue. This, for another example, is why nine out of ten rape victims don't report the crime - the stigma is held agains the victim, as much or more than against the perpetrator.

So, it doesn't sound like the first hour of your New Year went too well for you and several others....

All of you have my sincere sympathies.
But, most of all, I hope justice catches up with the antagonist father (Mr. Clean?) in your blog, the object lesson of which I sincerely thank you for.

Dr. Laura Schlesinger, of nationally syndicated KGO TALK radio has vigorously, repeatedly and recently pointed out (several times in March, April and May of '99) that strong political moves are emerging, having to do with reinterpretation of laws now pertaining to pedophilia and pedophiles. The KGO broadcast word being that the pro pedophile lobby is pressuring the American Psychiatric Association as well as congressional and senatorial lawmakers, to amend the existing laws, so as to categorize pedophilia as a disease rather than a crime. The pedophile, to be perceived and treated as a patient, rather than a criminal.

This is comparable to what has surfaced as the Vatican's long time efforts to cover up the child violating elements of the priesthood; then describing these 'carnal trespasses' as 'misconduct'...


The next amendment - officialized cluster of endangerment clause activating ratificational job doers - may scientifically and ‘curatively’ bring the designated patients (assailants) and the victims (abused and/or beaten women and children, assaulted senior citizens) together, in the same clinic...

With a droning chorus of ‘You must take responsibility for what happens to you’. Translated from, ‘You must take responsibility for what you do’.

Rascal .... What is a Pro-Pedophile Lobby?

eg: If a group of convicted and unreformed criminals formed a lobby group to make crime legal this would hardly carry weight and could not be defined as a 'Lobby'

Organised Warfare, Organised pedophila ?? I am not much into conspiracy theories ... we all serve our own ends. I cannot imagine who would be in a lobby group such as you describe other than pedophiles ?

As well, individual case histories are a form of distortion, hi-lighting repugnant issues that play on emotion. These lead to knee jerk reactions that are not in the best interests of true reform in this area.

I am not competant, nor in any way qualified to make any judgements. But it does seem to me that these people take enormous risks to gratify themselves, risks of being detected that any other type of criminal would draw back from as being far too great.

This would seem to indicate that there are some driven abberrant underlying issues here. Perhaps mental development issues from childhood ? Nature or Nuture ?? I don't think this is too far fetched.

In Egypt, during the reign of the Pharoahs many judicial records exist of these crimes. Counselling seems to have formed their main line of rehabilitation.

I have no real understanding of these issues whatsoever, so any opinion formed by reading this post must be qualified on that understanding.

Diagnosis isn't my forte either; as far as organisation goes, that exists, though it may or not be definable as a conspiracy. The fact that an entire - pre civil war - army fort was dismantled and converted to public property as a result of documented activities in its officer's Day Care Center is certainly cause for level headed concern - while bearing in mind the emotionally charged 'McMartin case'; where belatedly proven innocent people were socially crucified, due to the contingent issue of the abuse of children. Ostensibly, such issues need be approached objectively and w'out prejudice, which seems to be your understandable posturing.

If you peruse some of the information on the exemplary presidio scandal (accessed in the preceding post, and accessible via google: 'presidio pedophile cult Michael Aquino'), considering the damage done to entire families and the extent of the organised offenders, is it not difficult to avoid placing the 'trespasses' in a criminal rather than medical category?
