Hello there,

I'd like to submit a experience I had in 1988.It might fall under this category of magical things from the earth or sky.It may not.I've tried to find an explanation for it,,from several friends,and by myself.

In 1988 I lived in an apartment on the Island Hwy,I started my days then at 5:15 am and usually ended them at 11:30 or so.As you might imagine once my head hit the pillow,I was usually out like a light not remembering anything until morning.The apartment was on the backside of the building,top floor,corner unit.
In behind was both an underground and above ground parking lot before a steep bank of about 150 feet in height.

One night I woke up and for whatever reason,I went to the living room to have a smoke.This is totally not me.I can't ever remember a time I've ever done this in the past.While I sat there a bright circular green beam of light about 3" in diameter came through the apartment curtains and landed on the coffee table in front of me .This continued for about 20 seconds.I noticed that the light beam didn't defuse coming through the curtains.Another thing I noticed was that although I could see through it,the exterior edge of the beam seemed more solid,even a darker color than the inside.I could also see my smoke floating inside of it.As quickly as it appeared,it was gone.I sat there shocked for a few seconds,then ran and looked out of the curtains and up to see what it was.There was nothing visible.No sound.

Several people gave me explanations like,laser bouncing off a satellite .Another was astral catalepsy .Yet another by a regression hypnotist was maybe an alien abduction.I'm not into doing that because I've learned that can cause problems in life.So it's still a mystery to me,I'd like to hear some other possibilities?Thanks.........Ghosty

Usually, a ghost appearance will also bring intense emotions... either dark or light feelings. Did you have any unusual feelings from the light? It seems as though you didn't, as you would have mentioned that.

UFO encounters are usually more intense then what you experienced. It would seem the light came from a source other than what you first searched for. Maybe a reflection, it was, from another direction.

Magic makes itself known, so that the seer is fully aware of its presence. It is purposeful in its appearance. Did you feel wonderfully different afterward?

UFO encounters may seem magical, but are probably not. Higher technology lights and sounds are amazing. A suppressed encounter with an alien would be festering inside you, aching to get out. It would be good not to try hypnosis to unravel your past experiences, including past lives. A better via is relaxing meditation. When one is very centered, one can open more intriguing doors to oneself, but not before.

Hi TP....how do you know about UFO experience???..myself I am in a study with ufologist Derrel Sims. He is an amazing investigator and our study is now into about its 6th month...Sims himself has been involved in the study for 27 years...great pic there TP...but the serious part of abduction is interdimensional....

Ghosty, it was definitely a giant lightning bug answering what it thought was a mating signal from your cigarette, but as it is the males that fly and search for the unmoving females, it noticed that you were male and then took off, not even telling his bug friends about this scary close encounter.

Austie, I'm trying to be somewhat serious, here. This lightning bug theory doesn't seem to have much scientific validity. However a fire fly may have caused a refractory luminescence.

Are we, as a race, such the doormats that we inadvertently invite an advanced alien race to come and experiment on us?
