Can you estimate the probability that these events may have occurred by chance? Any explanations for them?
1. I had a dream involving having to make an emergency jump out of a plane flying over the sea, and throw out a gorilla, a box of bees, a large quantity of cake and suitcases (there was also a microwave and a superman costume on board). Later that morning, I heard on the news that a plane had been lost between Brasil and Paris.
2. Doors in my house sometimes spontaneously open and close themselves, usually a few seconds after I have thought about them doing so. Sometimes I notice a sufficiently strong breeze, sometimes I don't.
3. A few months over a year ago, a few days before I found out from the newspaper about the proposal to lift the ban on human animal hybrid embroyos, I had a nightmare about a girl, who looked to be about four, in a warm, reddish cave-like place, trapped because she was 'part rat'. The scene then switched to looking at a bag in which her blood was displayed.

While I cannot explain the mechanism for such occurrences, nor place them in the same context as yourself, as I do not have your exact experiential frame of reference, I can say that I am no stranger to "coincidence" or synchronicity.

I believe that conscious thought works through a framework of generally weak electro-magnetism, which is of varying strength between persons and may be influenced by many other factors that we as yet do not understand in their entirety, and perhaps never shall.

In similar manner to a radio receiver, I believe that we are capable, at times, of tuning into all or bits of other people's thought energy. Under certain atmospheric conditions, quite weak radio signals can "bounce" for remarkable distance and be received many times beyond their "normal" range.

What "signals" a person will receive is dependant on a variety of factors. Sometimes I perceive information that I would frame as being locally sourced, in that it pertains to people or situations known to me.

Other times, the bits and pieces are not easily put into an existing frame of reference, but such is made clear in time. One example is when an item of conversation, even if very obscure, is suddenly on the news media a few days later. This happens so frequently that I test my close friends when we are having an "original thought" conversation. Sure enough, within a short time, it is on mainstream media, no matter that it was not evident before. I am not one who is often aware of dreaming, although I accept that I must experience this stage of sleep, despite lack of memory. Perhaps this sense of awareness is active at such times and the "files" later retrieved by memory as the appropriate circustances would suggest to our brain.
