I like the Gnostic Scriptures. I thought everything I needed was built into me. It's called DNA. This is why I believe life starts at conception, when you have a brand new DNA molecule, a brand new life.

Whoa, you guys have gotten so far off topic it's not even fun. Can we discuss the possibility of a macroscopic quantum tunnelling object now? I'm telling you that's what our universe is and that explains the big bang and the big rip. WE are caught in the dissallowed region don't you know? Something that may or may not be real, we are.

Besides I think 1 sperm tunnels into 1 egg, and if that's not quantum tunneling I don't know what is. Remember quanta stands for 1 unit. That creates a DNA tunneling into your cell.

WHat I meant is that we are caught in the disallowed region. So how can we be in the dissallowed region? But here we are!
The dissallowed region is the barrier that is crossed by the quantum tunnelling object that theoretically cannot be crossed. Like Antonio said quantum tunnelling is where an object does not have enough energy to get beyond a certain barrier, but there is still a probability that it can. In order to do this it has to quantum tunnell. So the object suddenly appears outside of the barrier by quantum tunnelling. It's existence does not necessarely exist during transit. It's travel time approaches zero. The dissallowed region is the region that the object does not travel through, but appears on the other side of.
Cosmologically it is clear that we exist between two reference points. We exist in the time within time, in the dissallowed region. Reference point A is the big bang, reference point B is the big rip. Our entire universe is completely analogous to a quantum tunnelling object. And a quantum tunnelling object is entirely analogous to an object that breaks the lightspeed barrier. The entire duration of our universe is like one planck second to a dimension where the speed of light may be greater. The speed of light is dependent on our definition of time. There is a dimension where time is undivided and this is where the object goes when it tunnels.
The speed of light is slow as a snail compared to the undivided time you speak of, XXYY. I agree. I'll call it Universal Time, that place where time is undivided. Everything already happened there, all at once, and our universe and our lives are the tape-delayed slow motion replay of that 'instant' broadcast.
