Dark Matter
23 percent of the universe is made up of a mysterious substance called dark matter. I'll update this summary more over the next couple of days. "I'm going on a TOE Quest!"

I've heard so much about this "dark matter" but I never understand what it is.
I know that antimatter has the opposite charge than the normal or common matter. But in what way is this dark matter different to the normal matter, and what is this dark matter made of? By the way, does dark matter have dark energy?

I think "dark matter" is just a term used in place of "we haven't a clue what's out there". I think it's supposed to be all of the things we can't see because of the missing light. Some guess it is sub-atomic particles (hot), and others guess it is large masses (cold). Everything in the universe that is detectable by us so far equals between 5-10% of closure density (this is not something I understand mathematically, and depends upon the theory of inflation)--since we have no clue what makes up the other 90-95%, we have dubbed it "dark matter."

I think that the problem with dark matter is that we are not using our grey matter to discover the truth. I think that dark matter is exactly the same as light matter. There is no difference whatsoever because one is apparent, and the other invisible. Does not make them different. To me they are all energy. One manifested. The other not, but both remain energy.
It seems that energy has the ability to become any thing that it so chooses,
whether it be a planet, or a bar of chocolate. Instead of looking into the cosmos for the answers, maybe we should look a little closer to home.
As far as I can see, and thats not too far, matter, light, electricity, energy
consciousness, are all really the same thing. We just need to understand
how this is done. Is it magic?
regards michael.

we donot know what it is,so call it dark matter,it sounds good?

I think Treed is on to something! I always thought dark matter was what was supposedly inside black holes? The first is only interesting if it is the beginning of something. The first is not interesting if it is the only - Djanet Sears

for every thing that exists there is an equal and opposite.
this may move into the real of matter and anitimatter, but dark matter must exist as black is white.
if there is matter then it follows that there is also dark matter.
Matehematically this can be proved but have not the skill to draw you a diagramme. But consider a graph that starts at poit 0 , draw the 6 lines of reality and you will find that the graph eiter ends in a sine wave or infinity. Steve . W here has all the time gone ? Your Time is my Spacetime.

Maybe dark matter is thoughtlessness thought that has lost the quickening
momentum of focussed ideation.Condenced energy in a semi torpor!!
Awaiting the command of enlivened energy.to flashforth again,to arise from
your slumber.and leave this place of obscouration, and rejoin your kin in the
visible dimension.
An idea without a thought,is like a mind without a brain!!!!!!

Michael,
I'm not sure I understood your post (it was poetic nonetheless, though!). The notion of an idea without thought doesn't make sense to me. Are you saying ideas are just floating about, waiting to land? Why can't dark matter be the stuff of alternate muliverses? I think you're right about the condensed energy part, though.
