    lunar eclipses affect pendulums

Some experimenters claim to have noticed that pendulums behave irregularly during eclipses. Is it possible that gravitational waves could be subject to resonance effects or be reflected or refracted by objects of sufficient mass? Are there any better explanations?

The title was supposed to be 'Solar eclipses affect pendulums'.

During a solar eclipse the density of the gravitational (emission) field of the Earth is reduced and allows a pendulum to swing faster.
