That is Death, dying is another matter. There is/can be a pseudo-death, then there is the physical death. That occurs when the rudimentary consciousness within the cartouche or vehicle is conquered-by dis-ease-/or released from bondage and exits finally and for good.
What stays in the present as you say and know it is those broken down elements, which are reconstituted, and life goes on after death, just not like before as "you" knew it.

Nevertheless, that book I mentioned has a character called Ignatius J Reilly, who writes on 'big chief tablets'. He is forever scribbling and his hero is a weird guy called Boethius who suffers a terrible death in real life, but not in the book. Ignatius's girlfriend is called Myrna Minkoff, a real out there radical. Theres a certain similarity.

Well, your writing is a quite a bit like Ignatius, I don't mean this detrimentally, as it so happens it is one of my favourite books and I have had it many years, even had it rebound when it fell apart.
