that is what i mean - do you think an intelligent species as ai can potentially be is interested in pursueing subliminal-advertising, etc.? if it is pursueing anything humans can pursue you rather should call it human-mind-imitating machine - every newborn is forced into such a scheme anyway ..while alife representing half way the past and projecting itself at the same time half way into the future and at the very instant in between is emptiness or confusedness or both together or whatever .. so they call it artificial intelligence from the very beginning even before it is created - to kind of downgrade it already and never let it be intelligent but definately limited in intelligence

The science of AI has not advanced very far since its inception at the start of the computer revolution. The main reason for this difficulty is the need for a real creator with a mind in par excellence with 'God.'

Asides from this, there is the nanotechnology, the picotechnology, the femtotechnology, etc. to contend with.

I think the science of AI has not advanced very far because designers have failed to identify the formula underlying our thinking/consciousness process.Therefore they have failed to convincingly reproduce Human Intelligence.
AI will be a game of symantics until they do work this formula out. I have a formula but only want to discuss with designers of AI programmes.

The formula most people are looking for is a functional formula. For all we know it might be a dysfunctional formula. That is a formula that describes a relationship which is many to many connecting the domain to the range of reality. 1 to 1 relationships can be found among human interactions while functional school systems are base on many students to one teacher relationship. The students are the independent variables while the teacher is the dependent variable. Even a democratic functional nation is a many citizens to one president relationship.
