Thanks. I was refering to the 2001 movie, please see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Artific...elligence:_A.I. Also note that the AI in the movie has no chronons as quanta of time or let's say it has no sense of time and it cannot die.Originally Posted by timeparticle

That movie didn't sit well with me. Even as a symbolic gesture of explaining the characteristics of AI, the dark, sad goings on of the poor AI lad were burdensome.
I was referring to the Matrix Trilogy, except in an expanded timeparticle version, to encompass the whole universe.
The Matrix Trilogy seems to border between physical reality and virtual reality. To me anything can happen in virtual reality since all physical laws are not applicable, for example the law of gravity.

This is what I am talking about. AI creates a virtual reality for everyone, where anything can happen, as you say. They have created this and called it physical reality. So, we live in this reality thinking and believing that not anything can happen..... But anything can happen.
In order to be in control of the AI program, though, you need to find out who the programmer is and find out what his/her purpose for the program is. This programmer is the Architect, the creator of the program.
As players in this program, we find out what the important aspects and visions the Architect wants us to understand. The more we understand correctly, the easier time we have in it, and the happier we are. Adversely, the less we understand, by taking on false beliefs and misunderstandings, the harder it is.
The end goal is enlightenment, of course, but only specific to the Architect's idea of what that enlightenment is. And we can only achieve it by going down certain specific paths set for us.... sounds like a religion I know...but it isn't.

Many Architects have been found, if only in the imagination, but the problem is that they all defined different paths.
However, beings (or things) don't need an Architect; if they did, then the Architect would have needed a higher and more brilliant Architect to design Him/Her/It.
A famous programmer of English literatures is Shakespeare but he was mostly concern about moral or ethical laws than about physical laws of nature. His plays comprised the tragedies and the comedies but certainly not the boring parodies.Originally Posted by timeparticle

I would have written the third Matrix movie with more irony. I would have let Neo find out that he was the Architect, and that he created the program as a game. The game would be that he would create himself in it so that he would forget that he created it. He would have no memory as a programmer. But the game would develop so that he would eventually remember who he was. He would gain power in the Matrix until he found out that he was the God, the creator of the game. The purpose of the game was to have fun. The path would be to remember.
This would be, then, symbolic of us struggling to gain knowledge and power in life. Eventually, we may gain self realization so that awareness and responsibility in the creation of our own lives becomes a reality.
So, yes, there are many Architects, but only one of the greatest importance.

TP, you saw the Architect? Or supposed from others' supposings? Wouldn't explaining His own architecture be even a more challenging question to resolve?
Hummm. I think I'm getting your answers on my E-mail, also.... Well, yes I believe you are the Architect, but as you may know, I'm not supposed to tell you about it. You created the program, The Game, where you are programmed to completely forget who you are. Then, over time, you slowly start to remember. The end game result of the program is you taking charge and control of the game. You told me not to remind you of who you are in a program, but it slipped my programs program and I just had to say something.
So, Austi, you are a little confused right now, but over time your powers of great martial arts skills and abilities of flight will come to fruition from a sub-program you installed hundreds of years ago. Soon, you will be sitting in the great Architect's chair, watching yourself learning who you are in your many dimensional screens you watch.
Your program will be a great hit at the Architect's Elk's Club meeting and others will purchase it from you for great treasures......but I'm not supposed to tell you that, either....
