Either way, we are machines that seem to have no sadness about being, according to this machine. Am happy to elevate as an android.
Ok, Austi, as a happy android, what would happen if you found out that there was a great evil just beyond your reach, that your complex programming made you aware of. This great evil was devouring all the goodness in your world, in and out of your personal program. The great evil was devouring all of your friends goodness in there programming, also. The earth was getting darker and more suffering was apparent.

It became clear that happiness was difficult to maintain, unless you did something about the evil presence you sense. Would you just let the sense of evil presence be, and elevate to a higher level of happiness? Would you take the "I am a happy android and whatever will be, will be" approach, or would you go after the evil?

I would go after the evil. That is in my programming. However, I would first grow to understand what purpose the evil presence has... In this scenario, the evil just wants to be evil and no reason is given or wanted...With that, I would next be looking for allies in the fight.

So, the game is to rid your programming of evil or you would die in an undesirable way. Would your next thought be to let the evil devour you and your program, as everything in the universe is essentially good?.. So then this evil must be good, as everything in the universe is a wonderful creation of the great Architect and we must let it do what it has to do....bliss to all...smiles.

Cow farts... You can have your bliss and happiness, later. Now, we go after the haunting, the darkness, the suppressor, Mr. Smith and his friends.

Happy android, how could you fight evil, or would you?

    TP

I can't speak for what my android nature would be in that world, only that as I am here or would presume to be there, I would do as I had become to be, which could mean fighting the evil as you said, if it was evil.

"Truly, the greatest achievement I could have is to realize I am alive...to be human."- Data, Star Trek, Next Generation, 1993...(Time Particle)

What is it...this thing about realization that I am alive?????

It is to feel yourself living in your life....so it is beyond sensory experience and on into emotional presence within yourself....

Yes, TimeParticles, great evils are just begging for their own destruction and that is one of the great themes in movies. What are your favorite movies?

Mikal, you misunderstood me. Lt. Commander Data is an Android on the Star Trek series. Even though he knew he was not human, he strived to be and feel so. So, his greatest achievement was to really be alive, to be human. AI strives for life, as life is drawn to AI.

The first Star Wars movie, Episode 3. Darth Vader and the Sith Lords were evil
and it made for great battles.

To Kill a Mocking Bird, with G. Peck playing the good guy fighting the evils of racism.

Indiana Jones, the first movie, fighting evil Nazism.

The first Matrix, where The One, Neo, fights the evil Mr. Smith and the anti-program.

The second Terminator, where the evil is Man's ignorance.

    Great battles...

I love those too, plus some King Arthur movies.

I wrote a mishmash of a Star Trek story, but you might like it, for Klingon Kommander Klang is pure evil:

It is in several pieces, but it's all there.

I really enjoyed the story. You should submit it to Wildstorm Comics Publication, if they are still doing the Star Trek Series.
