ls workshop) Inter-Connectivity and Brotherhood of Man

If we glance back into the history of man, we find that many a good intentioned persons, who were in the riding seats, either in the mundane or spiritual fields, tried very earnestly to bind humanity in a single unit of harmonious society, where there was a space for all kinds of multiplicity of religions, cultures, faiths, castes, creeds, and regions, but each time the results have been disastrous for the society and humanity in general. Inter-connectivity at human levels i.e., through the aforesaid means is not possible; it has never been & shall not be in future, as we all are equipped with individual mind-sets, nourished on self-interests, self-ambitions and greed! These good-intentioned-movements were always usurped by the power hungry zealots and used the collective will of the ‘brotherhood’ for the promotion of their nefarious purposes. There have been three types of ‘brotherhood’ movements; religion based, political and ‘ism based. History is witness; religion has always found itself subservient to the political will. Christianity and Moslem are the examples, both (their respective temporal bosses) fought each other or invaded other countries as well, in the name of their respective religions and besides destroying and looting their wealth and property, they forced upon them their own religion, culture and beliefs. Great conquerors, Alexandra and Genghis Khan were much better than these zealots, as they only conquered the lands and property and did not bother to tinker with the local traditions, culture and religious beliefs, whereas these zealots not only obliterated the local culture but forcefully converted the conquered races. The third kind, which starts of with a particular ‘ism, like the Marxism based philosophy of communism and ‘superior-race’ based fascism, has been the most lethal than the other two.! These three tools, which the have-alls have been using since the beginning of the recorded history, have not taught the human race any lesson, though it has advanced much farther than the cart-age. Even now the most affluent countries are busy in manufacturing and exporting most lethal armaments to third world countries—read poor, and are earning trillions, at the cost of innocent people’s lives. Tens of thousands lives are lost but these ‘death-exported’ nations---the so-called civilized (!) nation---are sleeping comfortably on the corpses of the poor.
There are no better symbols of inter-connectivity and brotherhood than the ones Nature provides; we are breathing the same air (poor rich are forced to inhale the dirty air, exhaled by the poor!)! What a pity!
Dear Michael, religion is not going to change anything, which the history has not been able to change or transform. Equality, liberty, fraternity and ‘soul-brotherhood’ are noble slogans, because these are the banners which the rich flout. Fundamental human values which are enshrined in us like the soul and the ‘divine-principle’, but we are mute because we have mugged our conscience. If Christ could not change and transform the hearts of the populace of that time, like other prophets, and avatars, then do you suppose Bush and Blair would do it? Then what are the alternatives or the solutions? In 5500years of our history we fought as many major wars, and shall continue with the same speed and intensity & in the process many more Christ would be nailed on the cross, but man will never learn to be civilized unless he becomes ‘human’! Honest people like you and IC are doing their best but there are others who are equally determined to undo what is good, because in their eyes the ‘good’ is religious/spiritual, thus heretic.
