Angelee The gist of your philosophy is, senses give us pleasure or pain, which brings in us the tendencies of positive and negative; mind (intelligence) gives us the feelings of joy or sorrow, whose fruits are either good or bad; conscience discriminates between right and wrong and its fruit are virtue and sin, but what kind of fruits wisdom showers on us?
Shantnu Angelee, I am not a philosopher but a humble seeker - a learner, who is making earnest endeavor to know Reality. Wisdom has no plurality or duality, it is singular like freedom and by realizing it one attains its singular fruit of truth. But this we shall take on later, our present subject matter is conscience. Let us confine to it only.
Angelee Alright, now try to explain to me by percept, its different variations.
Shantnu Conscience has no other variation except right and wrong or virtue and sin. With its elevation, our mind becomes more and more subtle with less and less burdens. In its gross-conscious state, it has all kinds of variations like - good and bad, right and wrong, high and low, loss and gain, pleasure and pain, joy and sorrow etc. but all of these vanish along with its nature of duality, when it is elevated to the state of wisdom.
Now about explaining by percept, you have something specific in mind. Please ask without hesitation.
Angelee I want to know why in my case, my mental-level relationship with you is wrong and it is right between you and Didi, when both of you are not lawfully married and have a daughter.
Shantnu You want to know the state of your relationship with me and my state of relationship with Umeshwari. It is a very conscientious question. I like it.
Angelee Oh, yes
Shantnu You think the relations between Umeshwari and me, are licentious.
Umeshwari Just to remove your misgivings since Shantung’s second-coming we no more indulge in sexual relationship.
Angelee Why? Do you think it immoral?
Umeshwari No Physical relations are never immoral, only our intentions can be immoral As regards to physical relations; we don't have the need any more. Without indulging into them, we reciprocate each other's need of love.
Shantnu Is loved reciprocal?
Umeshwari No it merges in each other's and thus fulfils the vacuum created by the gratifications of the senses. Even if the target of love may not respond to our love, our love merges in that person's heart and compels it to beat the tunes of mystical love.
Now about your misgivings; 1 shall try to answer on behalf of Shantnu, as in our so-called licentious behavior, I am the main culprit.
You might recall that day of my misdemeanor; I willfully tried to injure both of you by eloping with Gopi, your husband, while it was Shantnu, who was on my mind, all the time. He was not being responsive to my love, which I now understand, was a case of physical infatuation only. I wanted him to respond, as emotionally surcharged as I was towards him. About the rest you know already. Even then his physical responses towards both of us were spontaneous and uninvolved, as his love is now equally shared among us all. No one owns him, not even his senses or intellect restrain the flow of his love. As sensual pleasures with him, only exhausts the passions of his partners, his intellect inspires exuberance in the latent (mental) assets of others. Similarly his wisdom is creating an aura of freedom around him, that is freeing the bondage of those minds, which entering that circle of freedom.
You can not blame him for any kind of act for he is not swayed by the temptation of the fruits of actions. When he was first brought from Kulu airport, his body was a walking-live machine. It was inert for all practical purposes. We could sway it the way we wanted. He simply did not bother about his bearings. It would not be off the mark, if I describe his condition at that time, as that of a robot. He automatically responded to our demands and we got from him what we wanted. We have gradually transformed that robot from the sensual level conscious to the state of unlimited freedom, which is infinite and eternal. It all depends on our level of consciousness. If we were mired in the sensual level he clicked at that level. As our conscious state went on widening, we experienced the similar exposure of his mind. But there we stopped and he became an enigma to us. We thought he was too much for us. He always was free, and his conscious level was that of a Jnani (wise), only he took it in his stride and behaved normally, though he was and still is handicapped by the absence of memory of his past person.
Angelee Very interesting indeed Didi! Now I remember, he always responded in automation to our demands, whereas his conscious remained always centered somewhere else. It now become clear, he was always immersed in the state of freedom and only on our demands he allowed himself to slide downward. Had he been aware of his past ‘person’, he would not have allowed his elevated conscious-self to come to lower-levels. Because of his mugged past-person, he took our level of consciousness as real and behaved with us, naturally in that fashion.
UmeshwariPerhaps you don't know, when he reappeared again and saw his daughter, he immediately offered to marry me, in formal way. But I refused his offer.
