One in a Million!

Lately I've been working later than usual at my day job to meet an upcoming deadline. Last night I worked late again, really late. By the time I finished my work it was very dark outside and I was very sleepy. I was walking across the parking lot to my car and I pushed the remote car opener on my keychain, and a really strange thing happened. It opened the car a few spaces down from mine. I knew that because I could see the lights flash. Was it a coincidence? Did somebody else happen to unlock their door at the same time that I unlocked mine? Not likely since I didn't see anyone else nearby. Or was someone inside the car who tapped their brakes. I almost thought I could see someone inside. To confirm my suspicion I pressed the button again and again the lights flashed on the other car. A third time I pressed and a third time the lights flashed on that other car. I always thought that out of the millions of cars in this country my remote could probably open 1 or 2 others and I finally found that 1 in a million car that had the same security code as my car and it was only a few yards away! Wow! I was marveling over my discovery as I approached my car door. Once I got to my car I lifted the handle to open, but the door would not open. I started to put my key in the keyhole then I ... thought ... wait a minute ..... "I'm such an Idiot!".
Then I walked to that other car and I drove home.
