A starting point for the TOE

When the TOE is found, science writers will find a way to describe it in simplistic terms. Working on the premise that the simplistic explanation will be in terms of a mathematical pattern, I have been seeking a mathematical pattern that has the look and feel of the standard model. The simplest such pattern that I can find is embedded in the structure of 4x4 complex matrices.

Extracting the pattern does involve some maths - Clifford algebras and the algebras of special unitary and pseudo unitary symmetries. After applying symmetry breakage I end up with a pattern, 40% of which has a close correspondence with the standard model. The remaining 60% I use to predict the properties of dark matter.

The pattern suggests that dark matter is likely to occur in the form of particles similar to quarks (I call them varks), but with fourfold symmetry instead of threefold, so they combine to form a dark matter equivalent of neutrons (which I call nullitons) which would have no charge and zero spin.

I'm reasonably sure that my mathematics is ok, as I managed to get my ideas published in a peer reviewed journal (Advances in Applied Clifford Algebra, vol 18.1), but have not had any real feedback from mainstream physicists. There is no charge for obtaining the paper from the journal (you can find it via google: Wallace "Pattern of Reality").
