A Hindu story tells of a fish who asked of another fish, “I have always heard about the sea, but what is it? Where is it?” The other fish replied, “you live, move, and have your being in the sea. The sea is within you and without you, and you are made of sea, and you will end in sea. The sea surrounds you as your own being.” In this story we can read ether instead of sea and thus the nature of ether is succinctly defined. Learn from the lowly fish the true nature of Akasha or ether. There is no doubt about the existence of ether because the source of all that is manifested is ether. The conventional concept of the ether is akin to stationary fluid, something different from the rest of creation, but actually it is not so. In the above story, sea is just extension of manifested creation or fish. Whence everything is composed of ether, there is no boundary line separating the manifested creation and ether or Akasha. Euphemism for the ether is Akasha which means space in Sanskrit language. In subsequent writings, the word ether can be replaced with space or Akasha. There has been intense curiosity about the creation of manifested world. Here I quote from the Hindu Scriptures,

“ Of all that doth exist what is the final cause?
Thus do the wise ones ask, who do the Vedas seek –
Brahman, or something else? Whence all that’s here once was?
Where doth it end at last? From where rose joy and grief?”
(Shvetaashvatara Upanishad, Chapter 1 Verse I)

No one has seen virtual particles and to me there existence is doubtful. The concept of virtual particles is retained because it helps in understanding some observed phenomenon. The same phenomenon can be easily explained by the concept of ether. The method adopted here is much easy and appeals to the common sense. The concept of ether can easily explained the field and particle interactions. I have explained nature of fields without involving the unrealistic virtual particles. What is the harm in using models of mass packet and energy packet based on ether or Akasha or you can name anything when theories of physics can be explained without using complex mathematics. Eye can see everything around what fails to see itself.

In another Hindu Scripture ‘Chhandogaya Upnishada’ Pravahana says to Silaka that the space known as Akasha (Ether) is the origin, support, and end of all. There is no further useful analytical elaboration of the “seed thought”. I have made an attempt to nurture the seed of knowledge by associating it with simple mathematical equations. During the nineteenth century it was commonly assumed by many that matter was embedded in ether, therefore when object moves it has to plough through the ether but my concept of ether on which my theory is based is entirely different. The ether or Akasha is the alpha and omega of creation. Actually ether (Akasha) is the progenitor of mass and energy. Mass and energy and force are the temporary manifestations of ether. How ether manifests as matter and energy will be shown in the following pages. Based on this one point and other points it will be shown later on that Michaelson-Morley experiment is inadequate to detect the presence of ether. Einstein denied the existence of ether for only 11 years (1905-1916), thereafter he recognized that his attitude was too radical and even regretted that his works published before 1916 had so definitely and absolutely rejected the existence of ether. Henceforth the terms ether and Akasha will be synonymous. Michaelson-Morley experiment failed to detect the presence of ether because the experimental set up was based on naive concept of ether according to which there was prior assumption that ether is stationary. Therefore, light waves move in the ether as waves move on the surface of pond water. It is so whenever we think of ripples we are conditioned to see waves on the surface of water. This childish and naive concept of ether on which Michelson-Morley experiment was based led to null results. There is nothing to be surprised at the null results. Actually ether is raw material for the formation of matter and energy units, Akashon (mass packet) and Prakashon (Photon). Akashon is after the word Akasha, which means space in Sanskrit and Prakashon is after the word Prakasha which stands for light. The ether which is associated with the formation of Akasha and Prakasha is called bonded ether, it is part and parcel of units of mass and energy. The non-bonded ether is that ether shells, which are left over and it is not associated with units of matter and energy, while the Akashon and Prakashon are moving all the bonded ether also moves through the non-bonded ether which does not offer any obstruction. In fact, the presence of non-bonded ether shells imparts the property of invariable speed to the light and these shells are also used in particle interactions as explained in the complete text (‘Evolution of Physical Laws’).

The existence of anything cannot be denied if the experimental set up to detect presence is inadequate and the experiment is based on the false properties of the thing to be detected. A blind man cannot deny the existence of world around him because there are other ways for him to feel the indirect presence of the creation. Starting with the logical concept of ether I have derived all the known and unknown results of nature. Thereby, proving that existence of ether is not false notion. Even some of the results have been derived, which are being assumed as such so far without any valid derivation. Starting with the concept of ether the internal structure of units of mass Akashon and units of energy Prakashon have been elucidated for the first time.

In the words of Einstein, “it would have been more correct if I had limited myself to my early publication to emphasizing only the non-existence of an ether velocity instead of arguing the total non-existence of the ether, for I can see that with word ether we say nothing else than that the space has to be viewed as carrier of physical qualities. In 1905 I was of the opinion that it was no longer allowed to speak about the ether in physics. This opinion, however, was too radical as we will see later when we discuss the general theory of relativity. It does remain allowed, as always, to introduce a medium filling all the space and to assume that the electromagnetic fields (and matter as well) are its states. Once again empty space appears as endowed with physical properties i.e. no longer physically empty as seemed to be the case according to the special relativity. There is an important argument in favour of hypothesis of the ether. To deny the existence of ether means, in the last analysis, denying all physical properties to empty space.”

The concept of ether in the present text shows that ether or Akasha does not offer any impedance to the movement of material bodies through it because the ether shells are of two types, bonded and non-bonded. All the Akashons and Prakashons are composed of Akashon shells in which these shells are arranged in certain manner as will be shown later on while the non-bonded hybrid shells are free to move. When the Akashon or Prakashon moves all the bonded shells associated with these move. The dimensions of Akashons and Prakshons extend up to infinity. No resistance is offered by the non-bonded shells to the bonded packets of shells such as, Akashon (mass packet) and Prakashon (photon). The concept of ether in the present text is not too simplistic in which the ether is considered to be separate from the mass, but in the novel concept all the mass packets and energy packets are considered to be composed of ether shells. The moment of bonded ether is not like the old concept called ether drag where boundary separates the moving object and ether. The bonded ether itself is the moving object; therefore, there is no question of boundary.

If with the novel concept of ether, the way too many complex theories entangled by net of too complex mathematics can be disentangled as if by magic wand, what is the harm in retaining the concept of ether, though in new form? According to new concept, the existence of ether is very much there. The presence of ether is reflected blatantly all around in the manifested creation.
