Something Stupid on the Campus Front - Gonad Day

Howdy Ya'll,
14 February is nearly upon us, so it's time for the feminists on campus to try and define everybody by their gonads!
I'm being serious.
Since this is a family website, I'll try to keep the vulgar stuff to a minimum in describing their destruction of what was once a religious holiday.
St. Valentine Day is supposed to be a Catholic Feast Day for this saint (who, apparently, is the patron saint of lovers, young people, and happy marriages, epilepsy, bee keepers, and the plague, amongst other things). The traditional story goes that, before his martyrdom for trying to convert Emperor Claudius II, he wrote a love letter to his jailer's daughter that converted her to Christianity. This love letter writing was combined with some traditions from the Ancient Roman rite of Lupercalia to form what we more or less have today, which is in many ways a complete opposite of the Catholic Churches intentions, but that is beside the point.
The Feminists, in their infinite wisdom, are trying to remove any pretense of religion and re-invent the holiday as a grab for sexual intercourse. They even came up with a new name for it, which I call Gonad Day, for refusal to use their term. The main event for Gonad Day is for the fairer sex to drag her date to the feminist play, which I call either "The Play" or "the Gonad Play", depending on my mood, and force him to stay awake and in his seat. The proceeds from the play (and from homemade crafts shaped like gonads) are donated to various women's charities.
The Play, written by Eve Ensler, claims to be trying to stop violence against women. The way I see it, there are two ways to stop this kind of violence: 1) to scare the living daylights out of those who would be tempted to rape, abuse, neglect, or circumcise women; or 2) convince the victims to enjoy violence against them because it is not violence if it is consensual. The problem is that the monologues work more to deluding possible victims than to scare possible abusers. The general feel of the play is that it is trying to define women as sexually based objects, not individuals who deserve better than to be used as living sex toys. There are sections of the play that could truly stop the violence, such as the piece concerning the oppression of Afghani women and the one about the Native American woman whose husband cheated on her, if they were not sandwiched in between things such as the FMLA complaining that “Christians don’t have [gonads]” (a quote from my college's 2003 rendition) because the local newspapers would not sell ad space to them and a piece from a bisexual woman of the night concerning how she liked hearing other women moan during intercourse (and proceeded to demonstrate various moans for 10 minutes). I do not see how listing every slang term for gonads or yelling obscenities about tampons convinces potential sexual predators to not go though with their malicious deeds. It would only encourage them.
Now, what is someone who finds this attempt to destroy religion and morality to do? You can donate money directly to some women's charities and then refuse to attend the gonad play. I like the Gabriel Project (http://www.gabrielproject.com) personally. It would be a better use of your time and money, in my opinion. You would be better off for it.
