I was quite interested after reading about Kurt Gödel's unique solution to the field equations of Einstein's general relativity. Gödel described something that is completely possible within the framework of general relativity. Although he didn't seem to be describing the specific universe we live in, it tells us something about the larger universe of possibilities.
Basically it's a giant rotating universe so this prevented Einstein from following a anti-metaphysical Ernst Machian model. Also, in Gödel's universe, world timelines are all closed! In other words, spacecraft, under the right conditions, can transport their own crews into their unique pasts. This isn't really time travel, it's a break down of causility and the giant arrow of entropy etc..
Perhaps this is why this type of universe is not the one we live in, it has probelms...but logically it is completely possible! so it tells us something about metaphysical reality!!!!!!!!!!!!
