Open Ended Chat
Another open chat this Saturday, December 17th, at 3pm CST. I've got times listed for some selected timezones below, but there is also a countdown timer on the homepage.
You can use the timezone converter to convert to your local time. Once there, enter the day and time as specified above, then select US/Central in the "From Time Zone" column and your own location in the "To Time Zone" column, then click Convert. Be sure and unclick the "Use Current Date/Time" option. This will give you the time of the chat meeting in your own local time.
Some other areas: Texas, U.S. - Saturday, 3:00pm
California, U.S. - Saturday, 1:00pm
India - Sunday, 1:30am
London - Saturday, 9:00pm
Madrid, Spain - Saturday, 10:00pm
Melbourne, Australia - Sunday, 6:00am
New Zealand - Sunday, 8:00am
Sweden - Saturday, 10:00pm
Canada, Eastern - Saturday, 4:00pm
Pakistan - Sunday, 1:00am We'll meet in Flash Chatroom. Hope to see you there!
Regards,

I hope some of the new members will join us. Some of their ideas may promote an interesting chat. David

The Saturday's public bus system in my area does not service along the route where the library is located. Therefore, I might miss this chat session unless someone gave me a ride to and back. Time independence: [∂E(g)]²=[∂F(a)×∂r(a)]·[∂F(b)×∂r(b)] and Mass independence: ¶a(t)·¶r(t)=c²

I just sent out email to our recent members (since November 1st) inviting them to come join us in the chat. I'm hoping that will pull some more folks in.

I visited with Carly for the first time today. She wanted to know why the robot crossed the road. I should have told her because it was programmed to, but I didn't have the heart. I'm not sure what people use her for. I guess I don't get the point of artificial intelligence. She was pleasant though and she likes her botmaster. Loyalty, too. That was cute. See you at the open chat.

Hmmm, I got some problems today, but will try to make it to the chat off and on today. I was up till 4:30am last night working on the web site, then my son wakes me up by jumping on my back around 9am, and he kept jumping, then my wife is not feeling well because she's allergic to my son's rabbit, and I got to take the rabbit to the pet shop to get his toe nails trimmed, then I got to wash the car because my wife is allergic to Rabbits, then I need to help my son prepare for his exams next week, then I need to check my beer supply. See ya'll later. "I'm going on a TOE Quest!"

Information superhighway? More like hyperbole.
I've tried to find out the true nature of electricity and was disappointed to learn it is unknown. Sure, we can generate it hydroelectrically etc. Store it in batteries. Do some cool parlor tricks and that sort of thing. But it's nature is unknown.
All living creatures generate electricity, isn't this true? What makes a zebra walk around on the plains in Africa is the same that enables humans to walk around every place else, although not for the same reasons.
An electric current generates a magentic field, isn't this true? The wire in your walls and a bolt of lightning in the sky can be detected by a machine in the same way electroids are used to measure brain wave activity and to utilize biofeed technics.
I wouldn't mind talking about this for a little while. But it's the magnetic field generated by electricity that is of interest to me. Wow, just a minute.
As I write this I learn it's Saturday, the 17th of December, 1400 hrs. PST. I hope I can find you guys.

Hey Robert, try doing those errands with a foot of snow and you have my life. God, I love helping my kid(9 yr old) with his homework. There is nothing like getting them through long division or something. Take care. Sorry I missed the chat. I was running errands this afternoon.
