A more general view of this (and more plausible and serious for a research web) could be a chat session about what stories, anecdotes, etz in physics (or all general science) and philosophy are true and which are false. That woul dbe interesting for sure.

Here I give an interesting statement I once created:

We hate that who has reason. We adore that who has Truth.

Note that they are combatible: there could be reason and truth, or only truth, or only reason, or none.

I think the best chats are those that are spontaneous. We are all of us prolific thinkers and what interests us most is what we are obsessed with at the time. We may run across a terrific thread started on the Friday before the Saturday chat session and yet might feel obligated to dwell on the selected topic which might not interest us so much anymore. Okay, so I might have ADHD, still, I'll bet there's more than a few of us who think the same way.

What is this science called physics.

Since many members seem to have strong opinions as to the philosophy of science and the meaning of its disciplines, maybe we should discuss what is meant by Classical, Relative, and Quantum physics.

I would like to have chat sessions of the following themes:

-Personal Identity (one of the main metaphysical problems)
-Which Force? (as the main idea of TOE is unification of forces, we shoul discuss how it is and why, and state the relationship to the four forces and which are more fundamental....)
-Time (we had one but we should repeat. There's a lot new things going on)

I think a good topic for a chat session is INTELLIGENCE.

    • what is intelligence?
    • does a dust mite have intelligence?
    • doe a flower have intelligence?
    • does an atom have intelligence?
    • the intelligence of evolution: the evolution of inanimate matter into life is so awesome and yet it still took two billion years for single celled life with just a few nucleotide sequences to evolve into eukaryotes, single celled life with a nucleus.

Here's one that may be interesting for a chat topic.

"the theory of everything"....some people have very educated views, they have the formulee...but do they have the common sense? maybe the theory of everything is a little bit more simpler than everybody thinks? could we all just be atoms in the great scheme of things??

Once we discover the Theory of Everything, we will be shocked by its simplicity.
