After a long hiatus we are starting back our group chat sessions. They will correspond with the monthly theme and take place once a month. The chat for November's theme will be Saturday, December 1st, at 3:00pm GMT-6. November's theme is...

Universe Expansion

The idea is that we discuss a topic for a month, chat about it on the second to last day, take our final exam the day after the chat, hand out awards to members with the highest scores, and start a new theme the next day. Each theme has a home page with all the information relating to the theme, including latest posts, reference links, quiz links and more stuff later on. Some reference links below.

Timezone Information:

I have a countdown timer on the upper left of the home page below the welcome block. It should be accurate if your computer's time is correct. There is also a timezone convert available for you to convert the chat time to your local time. Once there, select the "Use The Following Date/Time" option,enter December 1, 2007 as the date, 03:00:00 P.M. as the time, select "Etc/GMT-6" in the "From Time Zone" column, your location in the "To Time Zone" column, then click Convert. This will give you the time of the chat meeting in your own local time.

Can you post what time it will be in GMT ... for those of us in the universe who have expanded a little further ...

The official chat duration will be 2 hours. Of course no one has to stay the full two hours and members can continue beyond 2 hours if they wish. I'll publish a transcript of the chat session for anyone who can't make it or stay the full two hours.
