Let's have another open discussion this Saturday, September 3rd, at 3:00pm Central Standard Time (CST) or GMT-6. Saturday is the current winner in the poll and seems to be a reasonable time for most folks. We'll have another open discussion and see how it goes. If you have topics in mind you can post them to this thread ahead of time.
Future Chat: Current thinking is to start a weekly open discussion chat with day and time based on when the most visitors are present as indicated by web server log files averaged over the preceding month. Currently this looks like 10am (CST) Thursday, but that could change. The bi-weekly chat (every two weeks) will most likely be held on Saturdays and will be topic based (following the 9/3 chat). The topic will be selected about 12 days ahead of time to give members a chance to research and prepare, and to start early discussions on the chat thread.
This will be chat session #12! Since last chat (two weeks ago) we have grown from 667 to 713 members representing 86 countries (up from 80). Also we've had 160 members active over the preceding 30 days which is up from 145; another good indicator that we may have a good turnout.
Ok, the usual stuff... As I already said, the chat session will be held this Saturday at 3:00pm (CST). You can use the timezone converter to convert to your local time. Once there, enter the day and time as specified above, then select US/Central in the "From Time Zone" column and your own location in the "To Time Zone" column, then click Convert. Be sure and unclick the "Use Current Date/Time" option. This will give you the time of the chat meeting in your own local time.
