2005-09-17: Anthropic Principle

Nice topic. I only hope I'm available at 1pm on Saturday.

One of my observations after reading the primer is that the anthropic principle only applies to statistical data collecting. If it is one thing I deplore in science is statistics. When I work on a scientific theory, I want it to be discrete; precisely quantifiable. That is how I developed the Aether Physics Model. I only focused on those questions that I could provide a discrete solution for, such as the precise structure of the electron, the precise unification of the force, the precise structure of the Aether, and the precise mechanics of light.

It will be interesting to see how people on this forum relate to the anthropic principle.

The Australia time listed in the first post was incorrect. It should read

I also added a new time listing for Pakistan since that country is represented by 10 members now.

In other news, I have disabled the countdown module on the home page because I don't think it is taking timezones into account properly. I may get it running again later today.

Also, I intend to upgrade the chat software to the latest. Hope I don't break anything.

I'm so sorry!

I was definatelly sure that I was going to be able of going to the chat, but my father just told me that we are goin got my grandparent's house, to meet my new cousin who is a few months old.

I will come back around 2 hours later from the time the chat session is starting. I will come inmediatelly to the chat. Please, please if you can, stay until two hours later from the start of the chat.

We gonna miss you! I'll have to leave right at 3pm (2hrs 15mins from the time of this post) for a social event. The official length of the Chat is 2 hours; however, anyone who wants to is free to stay as long as you want. Just be aware that your chatting may not be recorded in the official transcript.

I'm also working on a mind map of the topics that come up in relation to the chat session / thread and will include the chat transcript and other reference information. It will be available for download and I'll try and upload a browseable version to the website. It will be "experimental". It has the potential to be a good way (more intuitive) of organizing information. We'll see.

We had a great chat session last Saturday with AntonioLao, dleviwing, volantis, and myself in attendance. god's big toe desperately tried to be present, as he had material to add to the conversation, but was experiencing possible hardware or software problems when accessing the chat room. I'll try and help him overcome these issues by our next chat. We had one excused absence and another unexcused absence. I'll open a new chat topic tomorrow so we can get a good two weeks preparation time.
