On the contrary, it is the lack of proof after a long period of time theorizing and experimenting.

Time independence: [∂E(g)]˛=[∂F(a)×∂r(a)]·[∂F(b)×∂r(b)] and Mass independence: a(tr(t)=c˛

Well then, if it is true I would like to read where it has been proven. I would also would like to know why it isn't all over the headlines of every newspaper and news program. I mean if we just answered a millenia age old question that philosophers have been pondering. It's a pretty major deal is it not? It's still something that is being discussed in metaphysics. Why hasn't that topic been dropped? I am not trying be a jerk but I don't think we can answer the question that easily. I don't think a magnetic feild makes me choose what to think about and do. I don't think a magnetic field makes me decide to wash my car or take my girlfriend out to a dinner and a movie. The truth is I can't say either way. A metaphysical mind or a magnetic mind, I would have to take a leap of faith either way. Agnostic I remain carrying doubts and skepticism in both directions.

The principle of magnetic resonance imaging is based on the nuclear magnetic alignments or nuclear magnetic resonance in the brain. The following site will give some state of the art information about this advanced technic of brain scan, which is very much safer that x-ray or charged particle tomography that can permanently destroy the cells structures.

I see that he analyzes hydrogen T1, T2, and brain tissue for spin density values. He discovers that the human brain is capable of Fourier transform. Not that I can understand any of that at this point. I would have to do some heavy reading to do so. But from a brief overview from what I can tell he seems to be doing experiments on the brain not the mind. I am ignorant about the brain and am by far no psychologist. The only thing I found while looking over that it that even mentions anything about a part of the brain responsible for thought was research done my a Richard Ernst. I am really not sure about any of this information. If you would be so kind to translate this into layman's terms I would be happy to discuss this further. Especially the part that shows what is responsible for our thoughts and reasoning ability. You know the traits that make us human.

With my present expertise, I am just a blind man groping in the dark. My knowledge of experimental psychology is no more than the next person sitting beside me in the public library typing this text thru the internet. Like any research, it requires full time commitment. All I know is that the magnetic field of the atoms in the brain can be aligned (resonance) to simultaneously emit energy of various frequencies making up the contrasts and false colorizations that we see in the scan images.
