The power of thought, intention, will,is barely understood,or even recognised by most upon
this here planet, not so much a missing force as the thread title suggests, rather the ONLY
REAL force/energy there is!

Michael and all...
Projected intention is only one of the ways that humans have tried to use thought to influence physical reality. The creation of thought forms, which may be used as allies by tribal shamans or as servitors by magicians in the western magical tradition, is a practice which has been around for thousands of years. In Tibet these thought forms are called tulpas and there is a large body of evidence that has been collected over the years to support their existence. The following excerpt deals with the experiences of Tibetan adventurer and scholar Alexandra David-Neel, and is well known among those who study such phenomena.

"When Alexandra David-Neel journeyed through Tibet, one of the many mystical techniques she studied was that of tulpa creation. A tulpa, according to traditional Tibetan doctrines, is an entity created by an act of imagination, rather like the fictional characters of a novelist, except that tulpas are not written down. David-Neel became so interested in the concept that she decided to try to create one.

The method involved was essentially intense concentration and visualization. David-Neel's tulpa began its existence as a plump, benign little monk, similar to Friar Tuck. It was at first entirely subjective, but gradually, with practice, she was able to visualize the tulpa out there, like an imaginary ghost flitting about the real world.

In time the vision grew in clarity and substance until it was indistinguishable from physical reality-a sort of self-induced hallucination. But the day came when the hallucination slipped from her conscious control. She discovered that the monk would appear from time to time when she had not willed it. Furthermore her friendly little figure was slimming down and taking on a distinctly sinister aspect.

Eventually her companions, who where unaware of the mental disciplines she was practicing, began to ask about the "stranger" who had turned up in their camp-a clear indication that a creature which was no more than solidified imagination had definite objective reality.

At this point, David-Neel decided things had gone too far and applied different lamaist techniques to reabsorb the creature into her own mind. The tulpa proved very unwillling to face destruction in this way so that the process took several weeks and left its creator exhausted."

- Excerpt from "Body, Mind & Spirit - A Dictionary of New Age Ideas"

I have heard of groups in the U.S. and England that have experimented informally with tulpa creation in recent years but, on first look, have not been able to find out much about them. Some controlled research in this area would, to say the least, be most enlightening.

Further,

Am grateful to oblige Graham,we tend to think of nuclear fission,or fusion as really
powerful,in truth they are like unto a dampened squib when compared to the mind!

Hi michael

I hope its the second def and not a small igniter of such setting off so much greater.... like what would a nucleic explosion set off?? and then of course i know u will say the mind is still greater no matter what the "squib" sets off but that could be a big bang indeed! ... hmmmm yea fireworks! ... personally i have not reached the stage of stopping an atomic explosion ... yet, but there are trapping atoms now for the new time piece ... EMF again? Retro to our own clock of course? ... when will they learn? We have millenniums of practice at this and they try to make it better? With technology? ... nano tec may permit adequate interaction with the persona when they get that far down with controlled varied prisms maybe so I can not rule out its benefit ... oh sorry! multitasking again off subject ... to many eyes ...

Peace! Graham

Re: Thought: The missing force - 05-27-2008, 01:39 PM

According to the extensive study of Naomi Ozaniec into the ancient Qabalah
system which translates into The tree of Life this would be the Big Bang or what could be called our roots, she states:

"In the simplest physical terms, "water" (emotion) represents matter, "fire" (electromagnetic force) is energy, and "air" (thought) is the space that allows the two to interact. Fire or the electromagnetic is the strong nuclear or pionic force which builds the nucleus together represented by "water" (emotion.) The "air" (thought) represents the weak nuclear force is the cohesive force which counteracts the electromagnetic force within the particle itself. The fourth force gravity corresponds to "earth" (sense/sensation) which is a confluence of the other three. Within the experiential, "fire" (electromagnetic force) represents the radiation of energy, while "water" (emotion) represents the absorption of energy. These are thesis and antithesis, giving and receiving, which themselves are manifestations of cause and affect. "Air" (thought) represents the transmission of energy, which is the synthesis linking the two.

I thought this was interesting because it might explain why thought is not normally experiened as a force...emotion is rather dummed down through our relationships with outer life, culture and society...it is in other words cultured out of us which could explain thought as a missing force.

peace...Mikal

Thought lies at the surface of an infinite ocean of consciousness,in reality it is the only
force there IS!

Hi Michael...yes thought does lie on the surface of an infinite ocean of consciousness...I have experienced that through my life.
But I also experienced thought as a force totally capable of manifesting a reality one plays out within the interiority of their own private world of thought. It was rather an amazing experience and would go along with that warning..."be careful what you wish or think for it just may come true..."
It was rather perplexing to see my private thought manifested before me as I certainly had no known knowledge that thought can be this powerful and as this manifested thought did not really fit into the designed scheme and structures of my life..it had to become something I struggled against...great lesson learned as to the level of respect we need to have as we stroll along and think in life.

Re: Thought: The missing force - 05-28-2008, 01:05 PM

Hello forum again

I have always thought on this subject with the memory seeing a young Asian boy out of Japan who PAH'ed images given him on undeveloped film that when developed showed clear the image sent to the film ... any citation I can not do despite the search and would love to review it by any one knowing more?

Peace! ~ Graham
