I give up!
Wisdom is knowing that there are times when it is unwise to speak the truth. For instance, the four-year old daughter who graces our home is ready for some truth, but she is not ready for all truth. There are some truths I cannot share with her yet. She wouldn't comprehend some truths--some truths might even harm her given her lack of understanding and experience. The twenty-year old daughter whom we have sent into the world is very wise and there is almost no truth she cannot bear. I share all the truth I know with her. Truth, like wisdom, is acquired over time and after experience.

The truth of everything is less than one inch,it is only equal and the lion is one.One is free when the door is opened, education has the key.=
If only there is a brain to go with it. But the trigger finger is definitely a no brainer and it so happens always to blame on the index finger and for marital divorses on the ringer finger.Originally Posted by Wick

If wisdom is truth and my daughter knows the truth better than I (quite possible), then wisdom does not lead to silence. Furthermore, wisdom is fond of hot dogs, nose-picking, and frequent fits of selfishness (which we indulge far more often than we should).
But she has sacrificed little in her short life, and I think may not understand truth or wisdom as you might think. Though I will gladly admit that her eyes are bright and true.
To a certain extent wisdom comes when a soul realizes that things are much less important than creatures. It comes from those silent sermons that rise up in those who, finding themselves empty in the universe, are suddenly filled with those things they need most by the hand of Providence. Perhaps wisdom is quiet gratitude.
Behold the lilies of the field...they do not sow, neither do they reap, yet Solomon in all his glory was never arrayed as one of these!
