Michael,
Since consciousness constitutes electrochemical impulses, isn't it projected from the brain, just as light is projected from a lamp?
I am aware that such impulses are measurable with electrodes physically attached to the skull and/or brain, but, are not such signals transmitted - through space - also?
Best regards,
- RP

I see consciousness as far more than a series of electrochemical impulses eminating from
the brain, the brain is just a physical "anchor" for the mind within its "appearance" within
temporal physical space, consciousnesss, transcends time and space, and exists outside of our temporal misunderstanding of it!
regards michael.
