You cant be both because, the basic fundamentals of science are based on facts, and the basic fundamental of religion is faith!(hope) Sorry my brother you have to pick sides to fully become either a scientist, or a preacher man! There is no compromise because any blend is half-assed(sorry but i couldnt think of a better word). And I dont want a half scientist, or half doctor, or half lawyer. And I would guess that most church goers wouldnt want a sermon from a half minister(or whatever). Especially god wouldnt want you to be half-faith!
Half and half is only good as cream in coffee. Only wayward girls can live in a halfway house, where they can't go all the way, so go no way Jose, for there is no half pregnant.
Actually it was a Catholic priest who came up with the big bang theory. Galileo and Newton were also men of faith. Even Einstein didn't like God playing dice with the universe.
You need both faith and facts to have a true Gestalt view of the universe.
Carl Sagan, an atheist, and not the brightest of physicist, didn't have one original thought or theory of his own. He limited his own creativity through his own prejudice.
Best to all,
Pat
P.S. Remember always keep an OPEN mind.
Steamed half -n- half and espresso is a breve...mmmm, my favorite. Even better is the holy hand grenade (mini breve, stronger) with a side of evil bunny (sugar cookie).
My husband has been looking into religion and the bible and I've been looking into a lot of science...together we have found some amazing correlations.
I have a serious question...
Do you think Einstein felt so guilty at his part in the creation of the atomic bomb that it opened him to a deeper understanding and faith in God?
I'm not saying guilt made him construct God in his mind but opened his heart, so to speak...
Perhaps thought itself is a form of energy that can move faster than light.
Although we have some small understanding of the workings of the brain and central nervous system, brain/body chemistry and emotions/perception, what do we really know about thoughts, where they originate, where they go?
Are my thoughts truly my own?
Are all beings just biological tuning forks, with our DNA being our own individual frequency for tuning into the universal constant?![]()

No. He did not. It was imperative for the US to do it first before Hitler does. But Germany surrendered prior to its deployment and unfortunately it was dropped on Japan.Originally Posted by racecar

"Secret" allied military teams damaged Hitler's heavy water experiments, being not totally successful, but greatly slowing them down. But for that, the world could have been a very different place today.
Ironically, Einstein was not directly informed of the Manhattan project, as he had once lived in Germany.
