    Re: Dreams, or Reality?

    Hi, and good morning!
Deja Vue is something I have felt binding to dreams before.
I used to believe we dream our futures but forget the dream and only a a feeling is recollected when it has become a reality.
I hope I'm wrong because I have many dreams that aren't good...yet experience has taught me otherwise, a reality many dreams have become and the dream had been misunderstood therefore ignored because in my youth I didn't understand the gift I believe we all have.

Most of my dreams now, and for the past five years have been global related events and charts of math and science, and some of my dreams have been where I'm in our cosmic realm, many. These dreams are where I believe the scientific mind was awoken, and I've been blessed to somehow know how to create on the computer, for others

I believe there is an order to everything, and when we get things in the right order we are rewarded with pathways of possibilites for spiritual growth

    Re: Dreams, or Reality?

Hey everyone. I have a confession to make.

I have nightmares almost everynight. When it's not a nightmare, I am swearing at the top of my lungs, and I know what I am doing in my nightmare, I am protecting myself and kids.

I almost died in 2006. My ex Dr. had prescribed to me a medication that I could not take. Long story short, I grew an ulcer, and it ruptured, and the surrounding capilleries were bleeding out as well. It was close. I was flown to the big city hospital we have here on Vancouver Island, B.C. Canada. The attending Dr. could not raise the endoscopy Tech after countless tries. So he told me he was going to do the procedure that we couldn't wait any longer.
We went to endoscopy, me wheeled in the gurney. I had lost 2 out of 3 pop bottles worth of blood from my body.
(a nurse told me we hold 3 two litre bottles of blood in us)
The Doc went into me through endoscopy, and found the ulcer, I remember hearing him say "There's the bastard".
He started to cauterize it. Just then I started drowning in my own blood. I was frantic, I remember grabbing the hose and trying to rip it out, and a heavy-set nurse stopped me and pinned me to the bed. I passed out.
The next thing I remember was two lab tech's reading my name out on a bag of blood, on a different floor in a different room. That's of course when I figured I would live and all was okay. It was. all except the nightmares have not stopped. They plague me every night of my life.

I am going to start hypnotherapy in the new year. I want to hear from this therapist if that is indeed why I'm having them. And then I am going after that Dr. I'm going to file a lawsuit against him. I have a 98% chance of not winning, I know the statistics are high, but whatever. I know I am in the right, and he wasn't.

Does anybody have anything they can suggest to me, or to add? I would greatly appreciate some input.
I went on a 2 night 3 day trip to a beautiful secluded cabin with 3 other lady friends last summer, and guess what happened. I woke everyone up in the middle of the night, swearing, and I was swearing badly I might add. These women are my friends, I was so mortified. My one friend was actually yelling at me in the middle of the night, right in my ear actually.
So dear people, can I have some input here?

    Thank You Kindly Everyone.

    Re: Dreams, or Reality?

Hi. I'm sorry to hear of your experience, a hug for you.(((HUG)))

I know you have probably heard this before...
have you considered writing the whole experience down on paper, and when finished writing it, read it to yourself, and when ever a nightmare happens do the same thing. Keep a diary as such although the purpose behind it is for you to read back on it, after writing it down.
There is a healing by releasing the inner pain and fears that trauma creates, and writing it down on a piece of paper is a way to help do that.
After reading it, screw the piece of paper up and throw it away.
By throwing it away you are throwing out what you want gone.

It will take time to heal from such trauma, and even though this may be hard to hear, accepting what has been done will help you to heal. It doesn't mean you can't sue the doctor, it doesn't mean you have to pretend nothing happened, but it does mean you aren't going to let this ruin the rest of your life.
You, nor anybody can change what has happened so all we have power to do is to try and ensure our mind and heart stays strong even though suffered.
    That is so important!!!
You can help yourself by trying to stimulate a good dream by thoughts before you sleep. Do you go to sleep dreading this nightmare?
If so, it could trigger it.
A thought of happiness, or a wish for the future may help you to drift somewhere nice rather than memories of pain.

I'll pray for you tonight, and pray for you to find an end to these nightmares and discover the path to peace while you sleep.
    God Bless you

    HUGS!!!

    Re: Dreams, or Reality?

    Hello Tarina,

May I also offer you a (((hug)))?

Your dreams may well be a lingering post-traumatic stress disorder, which have become a self-perpetuating loop, as suggested by WW7, who also offers some coping strategies.

Another idea may be to keep a dream journal, yes, even of these horrible nightmares. By paying close attention to and recording as many details as you can remember,(Keep a paper and pen beside the bed. One must write things down immediately upon awakening, or details are lost.) you will have a body of information that should be an excellent backgrounder for your hypnotherapy.

When it comes to litigation, may I suggest that the costs of such a journey may exact a toll on your health far beyond the financial. I work on the periphery of the legal world, and while we have a legal system in North America, it is perhaps not representative of a Justice System. If healing is your objective, that may not be the best route to it....

Wishing you all the best in restoring yourself to health.

So many paths to the same destination,
would, but I could, experience them all...

    Re: Dreams, or Reality?

    Good morning!
I hope you slept well Tarina.
I keep a dream diary. Not all dreams do I write down but many I share now.
I was always dogged by nightmares although there has been a diversion of what I dream now.
When I was little I used to dream of being in space. I also kept dreaming of what I saw in the heavens yet when these dreams first started it was dark times.
I believe there was a saving of my mind because somehow I didn't remember what I was enduring but rather where my mind had taken me, or maybe another higher force was involved to keep me safe while being abused.
As a young woman I can reflect and make sense of it; am thankful because I escaped the memories that so many take into life and suffer with the memories of abuse.
I did have nightmares as a young woman related to what I had endured and I did do hypnotherepy yet I learned it wasn't the route for me because I had already stepped into a new circle of abuse yet hadn't realised back then it was the current abuse that was troubling me not the past abuse.
I learned how my inner child was telling me 'enough was enough', and I become aware of it. When I did, the nightmares stopped, because now I was aware of it I could do something about it.

Like said above, I still get nightmares but mine are of war or natural disasters, not of traumatic circumstances...so still cursed

I often stay awake until I drop, I then don't dream but it is also the time I paint and it is when I pray it is when I listen to music and it is when I feel a sense of peace...

In your mind, turn all bad memories from colorful and lively into dim and gray until they go black. You may have to do a lot of this at first, for this is ungrooving and regrooving. Also, make your good memories even brighter and more colorful in your mind.

Also, a non peaceful day may carry the mood into one's night dreams. If kids don't bring peace (oust a guess), one will have to make an investment, which temporarily will cause even less peace, that is, lay down the law, not just with words, but with action. Eventually, their non peaceful behaviors may cease.

If all else fails, become lucid in your dreams and turn them as you will.
