    Re: Consciousness, Transcendence & Integration

I continue to enjoy the direction of your thread, Mikal (and with apologies to Steve - I've run out of time and will have to come back to read your post).

    From the dictionary :

    ABREACTION:

: the expression and emotional discharge of unconscious material (as a repressed idea or emotion) by verbalization especially in the presence of a therapist

    Origin of ABREACTION
part translation of German Abreagierung catharsis, from aboff, away + Reagierung reaction

    DISCHARGE:

: to relieve of a charge, load, or burden:
    a : unload <discharge a cargo ship>
b : to release from an obligation
c : to release electrical energy by a discharge

    Origin of DISCHARGE
Middle English, from Anglo-French descharger, from Late Latin discarricare, from Latin dis- + Late Latin carricare to load — more at charge

    CATHARSIS:

    : purgation
2a : purification or purgation of the emotions (as pity and fear) primarily through artb : a purification or purgation that brings about spiritual renewal or release from tension
3: elimination of a complex by bringing it to consciousness and affording it expression

    Origin of CATHARSIS
New Latin, from Greek katharsis, from kathairein to cleanse, purge, from katharos

    CHARGE:

a obsolete : a material load or weight
c : a store or accumulation of impelling force <the deeply emotional charge of the drama>
d : a definite quantity of electricity; especially : an excess or deficiency of electrons in a body

    a : obligation, requirement
    b : management, supervision
c : the ecclesiastical jurisdiction (as a parish) committed to a clergyman

    a : instruction, command

    INSTRUCTION:

a : precept b : a direction calling for compliance : order c plural : an outline or manual of technical procedure :directionsd : a code that tells a computer to perform a particular operation
2: the action, practice, or profession of teaching

    ORDER:

: to put in order : arrange
2a : to give an order to : command b : destine, ordain c : to command to go or come to a specified place

Again, language has a hierarchy of meaning which alludes to various contexts. Due to pre-conceptions, biases, bigotry and beliefs, few will understand; however, there is no word for "law" in ancient Hebrew. The closest interpretation is "instruction." There is also no word for guilt in either ancient Hebrew or Greek (the original languages of the biblical texts). The whole notion of Christian guilt, was a later fabrication: a distortion of the real message of liberation from guilt into a political tool for social control.

"...II Corinthians 7:10. "For the sorrow that is according to the will of God produces a repentance without regret, leading to salvation; but the sorrow of the world produces death."

We are self-determining sentient beings. Shame/remorse (rather than guilt) is the correct response to wrong-doing...this is the action of moral conscience, without which society would deteriorate into chaos. Shame/remorse is a signal of wrong action/behaviour: it is intended as a trigger to alter course. Guilt, on the other hand, can precipitate destructive forces, ie a dysfunctional or conflicted state of being which manifests as the polarities of on-going emotional discharge (a waste of energy) and/or a black hole of emotional immobilization (negative energy).

One in ten people experience depression in their lifetimes. Medication provides no altered course or solutions.

Imagine being the only person lliving on this Earth...undeniably living with the consequences of your own actions with no one else to shame or blame...no social constraints or conflict...let's face it, being 'conflicted' in any sense only leads to destructive behaviour. As RP states (http://www.toequest.com/forum/logic-...tml#post126914) "being true to one's self" is what is considered to be enlightenment or wisdom...it is true liberation.

Creation/correlation/co-operation/connectivity begins with the elements and continues into higher, new dimensions...it's our destiny to transcend our destructive tendencies to attain optimum integration of human consciousness before transcendence to the next level can be achieved .
But nothing's lost. Or else: all is translation And every bit of us is lost in it... - James Merrill

    Re: Consciousness, Transcendence & Integration

As ever Steve and Leskey, thanks for sharing your thoughts on this.

In relationship to I. Heath and his 4 modes of consciousness, i.e.:

The four modes of relative consciousness:
2a) The social consciousness, defined by similarity.
2b) The individual consciousness, defined by difference.
2c) The dialectical consciousness, defined by synthesis.
2d) The linguistic consciousness, defined by neither similarity nor difference.

I found this quote by A. Kephas interesting…. “The creation of the personal self is the collective smothering the desire of the individual by denying the freedom and delight of difference.” Notice Heath did not show the presence of ‘personal consciousness’ as a mode of relative consciousness.

I suppose we could say ‘personal consciousness’ develops from a confliction between developing social consciousness and individual consciousness. We in other words, are forced into the personal fear to over-value the importance of social image and conformity to cultural expectations thereby conflicting, stunting and crippling the growth of individual consciousness which is the subjective component.

Carl Jung defined ‘desire’ not just as psychological energy but also as psychological purpose which is supposed to function in an ambivalent struggle to replace dependency on the unconscious with self-direction.

What would be the purpose of ‘self-direction’?

    J. S. Gordon states that “The essence of the Ancient Wisdom tradition involved the development of intelligence through a process of gradual individualization of consciousness from the mass.”
The historical Jesus Christ exemplified the ‘psychological crippling’ of the masses in his culture when he stated while dying… ‘forgive them father for they know not what they do.’ He was referring here, to the mass trapped in conformity to a mass group mind thinking and acting almost like a directed ‘ant colony.’ But we are not ants!!

Possibly because the aim for ‘self-direction’ has such a high possibility to be stifled, consciousness has set into its structure the possibility for ‘dialectical’ consciousness, rather like a ‘safety’ mode that ensures the possibility for the occurrence of ‘over-lapping’ objective and subjective reality’ to take place, so that one becomes involved in the act and art of perception.

Many Jungian analysts work as translators on Jung’s numerous writings. Below are quotes from M.D. John Beebe and R. F. C. Hull who authored the book, “C. G. Jung, Aspects of the Masculine and Aspects of the Feminine.” They too discuss ‘dialectical consciousness.”

Self-direction stifled is the psychic life-force stifled and is the reinforcement of a very, narrow range of consciousness. So ‘dialectical consciousness’ is the event of shattering this narrow range of consciousness in the tension of opposites (swinging between extreme emotions) and slowly building up to states of wider and higher consciousness, even retrieving deeply buried sub-liminal perception.

The soul which Jung called the Anima and Animus, is understood psychologically as the existence of a semiconscious psychic complex which has partial autonomy of function. ‘Immortality’ psychologically means, this psychic complex is capable of a psychic activity that transcends the limit of consciousness.

What is the purpose of this psychic complex (soul)?

Perchance, one dialectically experiences the deepening of the introverted side of our culture the psychic complex (soul) transfers the ‘immortality’ experience (psychic experience that transcends the limits of consciousness) to the individualized self so as to break up the over-valuation of the material (outer) over the spiritual (inner) and the experience ends identification with a social role and engenders ‘self-regulation.’ This is not a question of anything metaphysical, the psyche is not a unity but a multiplicity of complexes. Those complexes are not supposed to be extroverted and projected (an artificial personality), they are not supposed to have a persona built upon them, they are complexes that are supposed to be holding associations with the unconscious parts of the psyche. The psychic complex (soul) does not belong to the function of conscious relationship, the function is to facilitate relations with the unconscious.

    Re: Consciousness, Transcendence & Integration

It can be a value to even retain conflicted desires overtime in order to accumulate a larger perspective.—quote by Steve

Shame/remorse (rather than guilt) is the correct response to wrong-doing...this is the action of moral conscience, without which society would deteriorate into chaos. Shame/remorse is a signal of wrong action/behaviour: it is intended as a trigger to alter course.—quote by Leskey

Carl Jung called ‘conflicted desires’ shocks to consciousness as it tries to unfold naturally from the center of the mind/consciousness system. As Ian Heath pointed out conflicted desires are a life-time supply of repressed ‘guilt’—suppressed emotional energy.

This lifetime supply of repressed guilt R. Hull (C. G. Jung, Aspects of the Masuculine and Aspects of the Feminine) refers to as ‘construction of an artificial personality’ and further states that this collective social compulsion to interfere and uphold conformity to cultural expectations (a political tool for social control—Leskey ) ends up being a psychological operation that creates; division of consciousness and ‘soullessness’ bound to have repercussions on the unconscious for under no circumstances will the unconscious tolerate shifting of the center of gravity.

I wonder if the state of ‘being soulless’ is man’s disconnect from his own psychic complex thereby disconnect from ‘moral conscience’; that ‘trigger’ intended to take the mind/consciousness system into altering its course for securing eventual ‘order’ in the psyche—which can only be seen as intentional determination/will to meet and handle higher forms of stress and tension in and from the outer.

Explaining the soul through the term ‘psychic complex’ is interesting because in my research I have found many and varied descriptive terms that may all be implying this very psychic complex R. Hull speaks of relevant to Jung’s writings. I list some of those descriptive terms below…

    1) J. S. Gordon while analyzing the ancient tradition states, “the basis of what we call evolution of consciousness is a ‘reorganizational instinct’ concerning the development of natural intelligence which is a progressive spiritual faculty not the same as mind and consciousness. Intelligence forces change the field of consciousness—intelligence uses the principle of mind to induce the soul nature to adapt to it—thereby generating an increasingly wider sense of interest, purpose and personal responsibility in the nature of the soul entity.”—The Rise and Fall of Atlantis

    2) Joseph C. Pearce in the Biology of Transcendence states “We actually contain a ‘built-in
ability’ to rise above restriction, incapacity, or limitation and as a result of this ability, possess a vital adaptive spirit that we have not yet fully accessed.”

    3) Kenneth Meadows in The Power of the Runes (ancient system of thought) implies “There
are hidden forces in Nature which are ‘great transforming powers’ that enable the development of perception to reach out beyond the rein of the physical senses making personal transformation possible.

    4) Aeolus Kephas in Homo Serpiens states, “The feeling behind thought can mushroom into a whirlwind of panic and despair. I was dimly aware of being on trial, being processed—of passing through some sort of ordeal in which I wrestled with my conscience while ‘unknown Forces or Intelligences’ negotiated my passage.”

It seems to me all who are researching the mystery of Transcendence are referring to some psychic mechanism (psychic complex/soul) and explaining it in descriptive terms like ‘reorganizational instinct’ or ‘a built-in ability’ or ‘hidden forces which are great transforming powers’ and ‘unknown Forces or Intelligences.’

Soul is defined in the dictionary as (a) a person’s inner character (b) emotional or intellectual energy and power.

Lance Storm in The Enigma of Numbers and discussing the importance of the meaning of number 5 as ‘union’ based on inner oppositionalism: a secret inner imperfection states that transmutation within the psyche is the mind cannalizing its own energy back to the mind/consciousness system, and states “the contents that constitute projection are maintained in the psychic sphere producing living effects—only by recognition of (these contents) autonomous powers can they be integrated (owned) by the individual as a psychic reality and not an illusion. Integration or the responsibility of gaining self-knowledge, an awesome task in itself, involves time, patience and hard work, but the reward of knowing oneself symbolized as the quintessential factor of soul-making is recognized as one of the highest of all human values.”

Adjoining and linking of all research information shows a high probability that there is present in the human psyche—a semiconscious psychic complex which has partial autonomy of function, just as Carl Jung implied.

It may take transcendence and integration—the refining hence reduction in the subjective realm to move from low level processes to higher level processes capable of what David Chalmers pointed out In The Conscious Mind, as necessary comprehensible explanations we need, to more greatly understand the higher domains of sociology and economics the low-level processes are incapable of grasping—pointing out our need to understand the true nature of reality and the world we live in.

    Re: Consciousness, Transcendence & Integration

It could be that ignorance and having no conscience is bliss ... though no, I don't actually believe that. On the other hand, I'm rather certain that trying to live up (and down) to oftentimes impossibly conflicted social whims is not a source of bliss , though it could be a source of motivation.

On one hand, social interactions can be a pleasure - generally when everything's voluntary and people are doing what they enjoy in company, though as you pointed out, Mikal, when things become manipulative and obligations or guilt enter the picture, then the waters begin to get murky and if you're expected to live up to multiple standards that can't be met (and you might even have your own entirely different version of how things should go) ... well then it's the figurative "rock and a hard place" and definitely not comfortable. I guess in some ways there's not much to do but either try to put up with it or see if someone can give some room, or just bust out of it. If it's a chronic problem that isn't resolve by just just trying to "put up with it", then there's really only one option and the question is simply which wall to take down and what's the best way to do it.

Hi Steve...you are too kind my friend in reminding me that I am not generalizing social interraction...I should have clarified I am discussing 'the enculturated self' and the inevitable outcome of taking on an 'artificial personality' and how transcendence is the correction and altering of that state....

We researchers sometimes forget our familiarity with subject matter and assume everyone else will understand....I stand corrected in your most honest evaluation....smiles....

    Re: Consciousness, Transcendence & Integration

I was probably just overgeneralizing one of my personal frustrations. My comment was intended primarily as personal experience with and agreement regarding your comment that various conflicting aspects of social pressure can generate a lot of stress. If you take sides, then someone gets let down. If you try to be neutral, there's the fight over acquiring a new convert. If you try to simply do nothing, then you're not helping and if you try to extricate yourself from the situation, not only can that be work in itself but is also often frowned upon as being reclusive (and of course you'll probably still be expected to pay taxes to keep a lot of the circus going).

Of course, I'm being cynical here and things aren't solely like that. There's plenty of nice company around, but when it comes to abstract social structures and how these influence people it doesn't appear to often be very beautiful. In a sense, my own comments are hypocritical because I'm generalizing social interactions and then complaining about the generalization which I just constructed ... that's a tough habit to break. A bit more face to face and 1 on 1 could definitely help. (The "media version" of the world is much bleaker than the real one ).

Anyway, I hope you didn't take my previous comment personally. I enjoyed reading your post and I wanted to at least give some personal agreement in experiences with part of the references.

    Regards, Steve

"Your evaluations are always appreciated and your honesty is fresh which makes communication with you enjoyable!"

You can hardly realize how much that means to me right now. Thank you. I do try. It's not easy trying to be open, especially when it seems you should, for the other persons sake, say something that will likely offend them and place you on their "bad guys list".

Few people realize the general payback given to anyone who tries to look past the charades. You've likely experienced it yourself. On the other hand, it's painful to watch the damage done by all the games ... it seems like the world could be a much better place, but maybe it's one of those "if wishes were dollars, I'd be a millionaire ..." and I could be wrong as well. Maybe I actually understand little of anything ... the problem is that that doesn't seem to be the case because hardly anyone else can explain how their ideas are suppose to work (it seems like the general social/political trend is to try to take one step forward while ignoring the three steps back).

It's such a hard subject ... electronics and computers are simple!!! Politics, OMG ... people don't make sense LOL! This guy knows it

    Re: Consciousness, Transcendence & Integration

    TORSION FIELDS
According to Russian scientist A. Akimov Torsion fields come in at least three types: E-fields (electric) S-fields (spin) and G-fields (gravity.)

These fields and their emanations are very subtle energy fields separate from Classical Electric, Magnetic and Gravity fields.
Torsional fields affect biological processes and can affect gravity. The neurons in our brains create and receive torsion-waves. Our brain is a vacuum-based, torsion-field transceiver. This suggests a physical explanation for quantum non-locality, telepathy and other telesomatic effects. Torsion fields can be used for communication explaining telepathy.

Russian scientists consider the quantum vacuum as a universal torsion-wave carrying medium. The field is said to fill all of space isotropically, including its matter component. Violations of vacuum symmetry and invariance create different and in principle observable, states (induced changes in gamma radiation.) Torsion fields have a distinct immune-stimulating effect (static torsion-fields were investigated using mice in a laboratory of Radiobiology at Perm University by Russian scientists. Tests revealed static torsion fields cause activation of cellular and humoral part of the immune system and even affect DNA.)

It is believed that processes and the mechanisms of consciousness (thinking) the processes of the sub-conscious and all psychic processes in the brain are governed by quantum mechanical laws.

Torsion fields disturb the 5th dimensional plenum that provides energy for 4th dimensional manifestation. If we think of a human beings physical body as being a 4th dimensional energy system a trained remote viewer has developed a 5th dimensional energy body which can then interact with spin torsion fields, in effect acting on the 5th dimensional plenum to change 4th dimensional manifestations. Disturbances in the 5th dimensional plenum cause changes in the 4th dimensional space-time continuum which in turn affect gravity, Electromagnetism and the strong and weak nuclear force. (Information by John Hutchinson, Canadian Inventor of electronic equipment that has produced levitation, telekinetic force, transmutations of metal and pyrotechnic phenomena)

This interested me because I communicate with a gentleman who is a Remote Viewer and although he did not tell me this information, he did prove to me he does Remote View….smiles…
