    Re: Consciousness, Transcendence & Integration

Our Dollar and the Yank dollar at the moment are about equal. So if you can check and compare

Petrol (gas) is $1.35 per litre or $5.10 per gallon (US)....

WOOLIES (if it asks for a postcode (zip) type in 4169

    COLES

Basically ... bread, cabbage, and cheap meat cuts could be afforded by anyone ..... but trying to buy medicines, and those million and one things and those million and one bills that hit the average household is making life very very hard for most. I believe it is much worse in the US from what we hear over here.

You would never starve here, but people are struggling to hang on to the house mortgage etc.

No where before have we been able to purchase such a wide variety, hi-quality groceries ( Woolies ... 'We're the fresh food people ... lol')

Do we give them credit for that ?? Obesity is now the biggest problem, not starvation.

    greg
    Yes.

I give them credit for outsourcing work and saving money in wages paid, by cutting down on the cost of domestic employees with their demands for fair treatment.

Wal-Mart closes shop if a Union even sniffs around their doorstep.

They are very good, however, at using politics and employee incentives to attract and retain a workforce, excellent psychology and strategy to utilize a portion of the workforce which responds to same.

Employment practices and regulation of goods produced are often considerably different than North American standards, and this is one reason the costs can be lower at the consumer outlet, yet few people examine the human and environmental costs at the production end.

The 'high-quality' is frequently missing, although there are some goods of adequate quality. I buy my socks and footwear for work at Walmart, as there is no where else in town that has appropriate products.

All this talk of slaves and thrashing would incline one to think you have a ways to progress yet as far as evolution is concerned, lol.......

Yes .... lol .... I'm not far along the road from my monkey makers ..... I admit.

Nevertheless, despite all criticism's of the corporate ...... they have clothed and fed and sheltered us at prices that most can easily afford.

They are egalitarian (they don't pretend to be harrods) .... and we flock to them in hordes.

They certainly manouvere to suit their circumstance ... but the unions have grown weak during the shift to conservatism. Their faults are our faults ... its mostly down to us for not providing the good opposition that we once did.

I think they (the big shopping chains) can only exist while we let them, by shopping there ?

There will soon be few other options.

Corporate buying power and practice is very good at squeezing out the smaller competitors and then putting the thumbscrews on the supplier, after they have commited to the single path rather than the many.

Rape, pilage and plunder while you can......

We who use the end products are as guilty as those who commit the offences, or had you not contemplated any culpability in the matter?

Yes ..... I said that .... but OZ and Yank don't always translate .... rotflmao
    '
Their faults are our faults ... its mostly down to us for not providing the good (union) opposition that we once did' .... I meant that the big corps aren't at fault, they grew strong because we deserted our unions (did not pay fees) when the times were good. This weakened our unions and now a new generation has been born that has no knowledge of the 'faith'

Also, Entities, tho liable at law, are really just us in disguise ... so I do take liability, and I do shop for hi-quality at small boutiques/markets, etc ..... but in the main Woolies and Coles are 7-day per week traders. The Slave has to work boxing day this year for no xtra money cuz its in her roster.

I think we should all re-join our unions and become full fee paying members .....

The competition is indeed a game, although there are some few rules that can benefit the consumer in Canada if they take the time to learn them, the scanning code of practice being one, whereby if an item rings through higher than the shelf label, the customer is entitled to the first item for free up to a value of $10.00.

Those cheaper food prices come largely due to outsourcing and you will be surprised if you start reading the labels in Canada. Many labels say 'produced for XXXXXXXX, Canada'. The do not say made in Canada. Even those that say made in Canada may well include partially or wholly imported ingredients. The tainted dog food scandal which involved imported milk ingredients from China is one example, which occurred two years ago. http://www.nytimes.com/2008/09/23/wo...milk.html?_r=1

I won't buy any processed food from China anymore knowingly, because of such concerns, although that does not mean one is not exposed to same from products sourced, or when one dines out. Rice and mandarin oranges are a given that they likely come from China, Japan or Thailand, as these products are principle exports. (Wild rice grows in Canada, and it is actual a grass and very tasty and nutritious.)

Dill pickles from India, tuna from Thailand, frozen seafood from overseas, although some may be coated and packaged in Canada. The inroads being made onto the grocery shelf is silent and steady.

Back to the corporate and global control angle, guess who is among the world leaders in bio-technology?

    Monsanto.

They control approx. 90 % of the GMO's grown on the planet, of which most have been genetically modified to resist the application of Round-Up, the world's best selling herbicide for the last thirty years.

Biodegradable has been removed from the label, because the product is NOT user friendly.

The list of persons who lost their jobs for accurately reporting the science on this product is frightening, and the reason there are no exact rules relating to GMO's is due to a deeply entrenched relationship between the corporation and the political structure.

GMO regulation was based on politics, not science.

Check out the terms principle of 'substantiate equivalent' and GRAS.

Agent Orange, Aspartame, Bovine Growth Hormone, and PCB's.

What do they have in common?

    Monsanto.

Some interesting 'food for thought' in this item.

    http://twilightearth.com/environment...l-documentary/

One thing that many people overlook when they talk about corporations, is aside from the elected politicians, the governing agency in all of it's manifestations functions very much like a corporation, with each department having it's own set of goals and budget which must be justified annually.

They are all in on the game.

    Not a conspiracy theory.

    Just a fact.

Global competition for resources, is a form of warfare that has been going on for centuries. The name Christopher Columbus comes to mind, as I live in North America.....

    Thanks LW for the support.

I can see from your focus on Monsanto that you completely understand the meaning of controlling interest in the production lines and consumption habits of a world society and also the broad sweep these internationalized companies have taken into obtaining and maintaining control.

You mentioned in your post the ‘deeply entrenched relationship between the corporation and the political structure.’ We should see this in action maybe tomorrow as the U.S. senate takes (Monsanto’s) Bill 510, The Food Safety Modernization Act, to the table for discussion. This bill has been called ‘the most dangerous bill in the history of the U.S.A…..don’t be fooled by the title—it just means food is only safe in their hands!

Canada’s Dr. Shiv Chopra stated this about this bill, ‘"It will become the most offensive authority against the cultivation, trade and consumption of food and agricultural products of one's choice. It will be unconstitutional and contrary to natural law or, if you like, the will of God." - Dr. Shiv Chopra,

    Canada Health whistleblower (http://shivchopra.com/?page_id=2)

    Re: Consciousness, Transcendence & Integration

In today’s world most Asian considerations are to the need of having a son to be the favorite child and the uselessness of the female. This need for the parent then to dispose of the female brings the value of the child to a dowry consideration just to get rid of her or sell her off for the added benefit of immigration need of the family. The immigration need a value rated boon to those of us living in the freedoms and pleasurable state we have found ourselves born into such as Canadians might recognize

The many wives on Saturn kept apart from the more local persona just have to live with the idea that integration of all the wives would be a disaster for family peace and enjoyment shared. This transcendence into this frame of consciousness is an acceptable state to all involved and only really appreciated when it is paid for not by running from something but running to something better paying the pauper when they do to get here.

    Kind regards graham

Max Planck, said that “all matter originates and exists only by virtue of a force which brings the particles of an atom to vibration which holds the atom together. We must assume behind this force is the existence of a conscious and intelligent mind. This mind is the matrix of all matter.
