    Re: Consciousness, Transcendence & Integration

I would only say that nothing is really a mystery. A ground-state had to have always been here, as nothing can become of Nothing. So, that's natural. This ground-state was also simple and tiny, as it can only be the near 'nothing' of the residue of all the conserved energies summing to 'zero'. That it could never have been created may bother some people, as then there is no Creator.

One might then say that there is no purpose, and that is true, but when ones thinks a bit deeper, the absolute freedom to be is worth much more, us even being free to make our own purpose in life, especially doing good just for the sake of good itself.

    Re: Consciousness, Transcendence & Integration

Because of my faith in God, a power greater than me, I am humbled to meekness and modesty on this earth. It assures that I will never reach by hand or mind to a power that could unmercifully harm you or another and then justify that power of harm as being morally necessary….

It takes transcendence and integration to truly understand the statement… “Absolute power corrupts.” When man makes his own purpose he is vulnerable to stumble and fall into that very corridor.

I thought you said that Brahman dreams all of these pseudo actions.

Can the Right Holistic Brain Run Away With Itself?

The right brain is a blessing in that it can recognize the whole without the burden of the detail of all the parts, such as what a car or a tiger is. We can always tinker with the details at another time. The curse of the right brain is that it might just continue onward without details when the whole is of the imaginary unseen unknown kind.

As an aside, there is also the work of Michael Shermer on patternicity and agenticity.

Missing Links? There are attempts by man to fill “missing links” via imagination, for the mind wants an answer, as that is its job. It may not compute, but must know, sometimes, but it can’t, but it must…

The upper floor of the state of being—the holistic right brain, beyond and oblivious to the states beneath, can entertain imaginations, some of which wonderland may be ungrounded in reality or detail. It can become grooved.

Why not intercession of left brain?

Perhaps there is always heightened right brain activity in some.
Perhaps one is not used to left brain; not mechanically inclined.
    Encultured to believe.
    Busy going about life.
Imaginal ideas usually have no details or they, too, are made up.
The imagination feels good when it matches wishes. Creates a stopping point. Case closed.
Seems meaningful because it was thought of; rather, though, the thought came, perhaps of an (in)vested interest. It’s difficult to ignore one’s own thoughts.
Can see/use, say, a car as a whole. May drive too fast with low oil or air, ignoring detail. Zen and the art of…

What if the invisible imaginary details are very much requested?

    Neglect.
    Repeat imaginational idea.
Employ magic, and invent the details, along with a further structure layered upon.
Go to extremes. Brain does nothing. Reality is a dream. Evolution never happened. Imagine the soul to replace all of nature.
More imaginal ideas added on for support, such as God, rules, etc. Holy-holy aspect glued on to neutral energy and materiel.
Get mad to show that one’s imagination is irrefutable.

    Left/right brain synergy.

The detail up and the whole down can meet in the middle, providing a better understanding of each direction and overall. Rounded life then equals a blend of yin and yang arriving and receding in turn. Refine. Reimagine. However, this hardly works beyond all reality. While Einstein ‘imagined’ in his armchair that time could ‘give’ and become a variable, he was already aware of the ungiving properties of light.

    Fix?

Difficult to impossible now; maybe in the next generation.

    Demotion/Promotion Imaginal Idea

A certain dog or a cat may actually be a person who did bad in a prior life.

Why pick example afar from most, for now? Local imagination ideas may be too close to home.

However, we go into their shoes of their arbrirary belief; any non-reincarnation beliefs seem just as weird to them.

It is often that a conflict with contrary ideas means difference = really strange = protect the idea and minimize the contrary = evil [sometimes, as they are contrary to ‘good’]. Purely imaginary concepts are flawed concepts of ‘right’ and ‘good’, yet are not even stated as theory, but said and pronounced as ‘is’. Indoctrination of young. Impoverished need help from the ‘outside’. Myths grow. However, stable societies find help at hand. Myths then diminish.

    The Same Story

The states of being on upper floor are ‘directly’ felt; the states beneath are not, or not known of, or don’t seem to pertain.

    Why?

We are not privy to the occurrences beneath.
    Brain info is relatively new.
    Not all have education.
Not all wish to research and learn.
Cells, molecules, and atoms seem lifeless.
    We want what we want.
Scenarios of consequences collapse into thoughts and actions exactly according to what one has become from their learning and associations; However, it feels natural and instant.

    Imaginal Idea: Meditation = Ultimate

During meditation, one must still feel the sensation [of a minimal neuronal network]; it yet intercedes, as it must. One is not really on ground floor and seeing all; can’t get there; feeling is still sensation on upper floor, being of not much happening and not much self present. Seems to one with the Cosmos. Minimal boundaries have quieted the notion of the self and where the body ends and the rest of the universe begins. This was measured in Buddhist monks.

The other side of the story: Too much left brain. Too much into detail. Can’t see the forest.

    The useful use of imagination:

Grounded or semi-grounded imagination leads to anticipation and then feedback of the subsequent events. Imagination is refined, added or subtracted. Continue on with actions. Reimagine…

Totally ungrounded imagination has no subsequent events, for all is invisible. The end. Ignore what is to make up what isn’t. Double error.

    Detail Abandoned

A dead giveaway that a theory has a problem is when it neglects or is immune to any details, or when it magically adapts and amends itself to any turn of events. Thus, these indefensible theories are not even interesting.

When pressed for detail, these theories do not so much address the detail as to ‘respond’ to it with completely off-the-wall type of answers, such as:

    — The brain is not needed, for all is done via a soul link to an invisible man in the sky.

    — All is a dream, so the details are “blah-blah”. We don’t exist.

    — An old book said that forms are immutable, thus, evolution never happened.

    — Don’t even ask, for all ego must be banned and removed.

    — Consciousness is no longer a subject—of experience, but is now an object that floats around granting experience.

    — We come back as other creatures.

    — We will burn if our free will disagrees with some Other Will,

    — And so forth, ad nauseum, the ‘responses’, obviously, even greatly disagreeing with each other.

Thus, the ungrounded right brain can run away with itself.
