    Mind, Brain?

Study Narrows Gap Between Mind And Brain

    March 29, 2010
Scientists have found a surprising link between magnets and morality. A person's moral judgments can be changed almost instantly by delivering a magnetic pulse to an area of the brain near the right ear, according to a study in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences.
People in the study read stories designed to produce moral judgments. One such story begins with a woman named Grace putting powder in her friend's coffee. After that, the story can go in several different directions.
So, EM effects moral judgment, and we still refuse the idea that it just might possible there are/is consciousness associated with some EM fields? It's all a bit weird to me. And you thought us crazy people wore the aluminum hats for space aliens. I'm now going to wear mine for fear of government EM experiments on large scales!

If Em affects moral judgement ..... how can you avoid it by wearing a hat ... you can only change its affects ... not cancel it ?? You are still subject to it ? Your presumption is that there is a 'norm'.

There would be my "norm" or "control" judgement, you know before the "who gives a flying duck-gun" zaps me. I'm not trying to avoid moral judgement. I am trying to avoid someone changing it without my knowing. Puts a whole new spin on that "what's his face" thought experiment. The one with "the mad scientist," who happens to have a a machine where he could make Johnny, do all sorts of things, to include shoot someone.

For the life of me, I can't think of the name of the thought experiment. Philosophy 101 ... first week, ug!

What I am trying to say is ..... how do you know that what you perceive is not being changed anyway ..... what is normal is also subject to the EM field 24 hours a day with or without an aluminium hat ...... and your protests and concern may be an effect regardless ??

So, I have to attest, you're quite right within reason but ... it seems it has to be focused at certain parts of the brain. So I would imagine a background (?) would have to be fairly strong? You could run all kinds of crazy with this. Lets take for example, "ghosts." How do you look for a ghost? Well, with your little EM detector deal of course. Who's to say ... they can't influence us? (Ok, just pretend you believe for a second) Why don't they "control" people all the time? Do must of us emit a counter/anti EM ... "aluminum-hat-field?" Maybe, it's already in cell phones, waiting to be turned on!

Interesting stuff, sort of spooky too. But as "the EM man said, "What is the point in being afraid?"
