Isn't consciousness a mystery? how can something as unconscious as the brain become conscious?

I guess we'll never know, what you say Austin?

Who is it that is conscious Austin?

I'll tell you who, its the same as saying the characters in your dreams are conscious or the characters in your video simulations are conscious.

Isn't the mystery just a kick in the ass?

Our brain has consciousness—and we are our brain.

Don't you think it a very mysterious phenomena that the brain never has any direct contact with light Austin, and is in fact encased in solid darkness, and yet,we watch a colourful and bright world from inside our dark brain.How's that for magic?
Similarly in our dreams at night, while we sleep in pitch dark room with eyes closed, we see vivid bright colour and light.

We can simulate this phenomena when we create images in a video shown on a computer screen, like in your videos, but we cannot make the images conscious, can we? and what about making a robot, could we create a conscious robot? as in ''I Robot''

If consciousness is real, then what power has created this consciousness?

Yes, it remains mysterious, although we've localized it. It re-presents what arrives via the senses and from what is already within. It evolved along with the brain and this took billions of years.
