| The Abolition of Suffering This article is extrememly interesting in terms of the way it shows that when profound discoveries are made within physics, they should allow us to better answer the important questions of why we are here, what our purpose is and makes us think about how we can empower ourselves to acheive a unified purpose for all humanity. The questions related to greed, along with the implied notion that the concept of an infinitely expanding universe means that humanity can possibly survive for eternity gives rise to the concept that survival is essentially a mechanism for "keeping our heads above water" until we fgure out how to walk on water. By this I mean that if we could all just agree on one united purpose, as ordained by God (or love or life force, whichever you choose as a matter of your free will), then we would all be de facto trying to acheive the same ends, and by similar (but not identical) means.
In this regard, if this research shows that the universe will continue forever, and that humanity could feasibly last forever as well, then the only true purpose under which all scientific theorum, religions, philosophies and political ideologies could unite would be the universal, unequivocal, uncorruptable statement that the purpose of humanity as ordained by God is the ABOLITION OF SUFFERING.
Get busy living or get busy dying.
