we normally feel that our universe must be a Spheroid. But it's chances are very less.I think dark energy has done enough to make it flat, moreover I think that dark energy is too powerful to overcome critical density too. Thus universe would be like a half-cut laid down cylinder, with no end by crunching means.

wlecome maight..
its the second time today i read about the dark energy,,
what is Dark energy??
its only hypothitical form of energy which permeates all of space and has strong negative pressure. According to the relativity, the effect of such a negative pressure is qualitatively similar to a force acting in opposition to gravity at large scales. Invoking such an effect is currently the most popular method for explaining recent observations that the universe appears to be expanding at an accelerating rate, as well as accounting for a significant portion of the missing in the universe.
again its an idea only, and i don think that it is anything until having a real proof about...
your imaginary shape seems strange!!
our universe has an ugly shape?
i don think that at all...

Krateesh. Many thanks for your thought provoking thread,is the universe really ugly shaped?Well I suppose it could be!But I tend to think that is has no shape at all, rather that it is a formless void, and provides a womb-like
role in catering for the expressions of ideation and the in-formation of form
in the shape of matter formalized,(solid?)and informal! Free flowing-energy.
Shape and form can lead one into many cul-de sacs, and potential quicksands
for the unwary, after all, what shape is thought? What about anger! And of
course love, what shape would that be then??????

You also think that universe has an ugly shape?
why!!, its our universe!
I think we must be indebted because we live in this universe,, then we say its ugly?
ypu don think that it has a spacific shape, maybe, but im always imaginin that it is convex!!, i don know why,,but in my mind i think its like an egg!!
what is the shape? for anger? for love?
now this is a question..
Shapes : only thoughts....
we have a poet, says that " Be beautiful, then you see universe beautiful!!""..
its the same,, when you think about good feelings you feel something move inside..
love generates active doings, it is has a lovely shape,,but anger in the opposite...
it is simple: make your eyes have a rose sight, then you will find a good shape for all emotions

Ema, I agree. Nature is not perfectly spherical, nor symmetrical and yet beautiful, as is our universe. The first is only interesting if it is the beginning of something. The first is not interesting if it is the only - Djanet Sears

I think the Universe in flat and curved only at the edges. This is so because the gravity will bend the edges. I really wonder how much of a role dark energy has to play in this... Quote: |

I read that dark energy actually dictates the shape of the Galaxies. If this is the fact, then the Universe will certainly be spiral. Quote:

The universe can't be ugly, for we too are part
of the universe.
