I don't personally think gravity leads to the idea of the BB, however, I do agree with your idea that there is 'nothing like gravity' in our universe, which is why the real brains still can't unify it with the rest of the forces. I agree literally (in fact a step further) with Einstein when he says you can't tell the difference between being in a gravitational field and inside an accelerating box. I believe that gravity as we experience it is nothing more than centrifugal force, caused by the rotation (not circular as such) of the 'surface' of our spacetime/universe. I'll expand further when I post my own 'pet' theory (yes, we all got one!).
