Does light loses energy as it passs through matter or anything?...just wanna know

Merv,Just a brief reply to your question,and the answer is both yes,and no!
Light in the range of an xray frequency can and does penetrate matter,and loose an
infinitesimal amount of focus.Light as we see it however cannot penetrate matter at all.

Exception is dark matter. When light passes through it, no response. It won't emit or absorb so nothing is decreased energy wise. We expect everything in the universe to come at a price, and when none is given, we are clueless. Kind of boggles the mind. Fun stuff to talk about anyway. Hi to you.
