Dear Greg:
You've made several very good points here that I - and others - can only thank you for. I will make the appropriate corrections by quoting yours. There are some indeterminate areas but your post allows for that and will suffice swimmingly in pointing themselves out. Your message obliges me to further research and updates. You have done me an important favor and service, how could I reasonably resent you for it?
Having said that, it is G. P. Thompson who performed the issued experiment and JWN Sullivan who describes it. Gold element, until further notice, does bond to itself at one atom of thickness, that is why it was employed
(acquiring the signature of cocentricities around a 'point mass' - which has no distinct boundaries and only becomes more dense with approach to it's center), at least this is my contention.

Also, when you enter 'JWN Sullivan' in google, the third listing down is entitled 'Quote JWN Sullivan'; when you click on that it says in large, bold letters:
"Mathematician: JWN Sullivan".
Continued evaluation and constructive criticism of my work is and will always be a high compliment.
Thank you for your vigilance and your contribution, Mr. Graybeard. I look forward to further communications.
