Hi Lloyd; Thats not harsh Lloyd, thats your opinion. Had you called me an moron, that would have been harsh. When you come to a theory of everything, it's difficult just staying to the physics without going beyond, because there is so much beyond physics. I do try to always use logic and reason, though I'm sure you are right that it's not good science. That is not where my training lies. Best to all, Pat

Hi Ljoyd, Pat and all,
Lioyd as you can see that my theory holds that the most fundamental element is the photon or quanta particle. We know that it has a constant speed of light, it has a constant quantity of energy a Planck, it is affected by gravity and it is preserved, it cannot be created nor distroyed. If any of these fundamental aspects of a quanta particle is not true than my theory is wrong. Your idea of a DSR, (Deformed/Doubly Special Relativity) is new to me but I will have an open mind.
Pat, I agree with you that CBR (Comic Background Radiation) is only an evidence and not a proof for the Big Bang theory. Similarly, the redshift of the light coming from distant galaxies is also only evidences of the Big Bang theory. You raised a good question about the age of the universe. If the universe had a beginning how could it be eternal? The Big Bang theory holds for a definite beginning of time and the evidence is the oldest galaxies discovered by astronomers which is about 10 to 15 billion years ago.
This is a difficult question and it is similar to the question of creation. In my theory I presumed that all finite energy and all the evolutionary laws that govern the universe, existed before physical time came into existance. In my theory the space-time dimension or physical time only came into being when matter and anti-matter were formed at the event horizon of the universal black hole. In other words, physical time came into existance when particles were formed that moved slower than the speed of light. I based my idea on
Einstein theory of special relativity that holds that when a particle moves at the speed of light, its time dimension is nil. I called the dimension of the photon or quantum, as the fifth or quantum dimension, where time is nil because all its particles move at the speed of light. Thus, the universe viewed from the fourth dimension or the space time dimension had a beginning when matter and antimatter was formed. The universe viewed from the fifth or the quantum dimension it is eternal because its time dimension is nil. Quantum particles from a physical point of view have always existed and will always exist because they can neither be created nor distroyed.
It is important to realize that this is true when viewed from the physical perspective of reality. Viewed from a meta-physical and religious or personal perspectives, we talk about creation which in turn has the concept of the beginning of time. As I mention before, if we accept the concept of God, who exists outside our time, he exists in eternity and acts from eternity, thus his act of creation is an eternal act. Here however, we leave the concept of God and creation aside and only deal with physical science. These are new and difficult concepts but I feel we have to learn to think both multi-dimensional and multi-perspectively. In other words we have to learn to be able to look at reality from many points of view. For clarity and true knowledge I try to separate the physical from the meta-physical and the personal perspectives of reality.

Hi Cosvis and Lloyd; Your theory may be correct, there is parts of it that appeal to me, but like most theories, we may never know in our lifetime if it's correct or not. In the mean time I did a little more research on light quanta particles which you may be interested in. Imagine that a beam of light is actually made up of little "packets" or "bundles" of energy, called quanta.
It's like looking at a crowd of people from above. At first, it seems as though they are one huge patch, without any spaces between them. You would never suspect that they were people. But as you move closer, you slowly begin to see that they are individuals, and when you get even closer, you may even recognize a few. Light seems like a continuous wave at first, but when we zoom in at the subatomic level, we notice that a beam of light actually consists of little "packets" of energy, or quanta. (You will not be able to tell the particles of light apart though because they are of the same energy, and thus identical. The fact that they can't be distinguished has to do with how a laser works.)
The only thing which differentiates one quantum from another is the energy contained in individual quanta (or "packets"). The "packets" are assigned a particular energy, depending on the frequency (or to put it simply: the colour) of the light wave. Quanta of Violet coloured light have the maximum energy and that of Red have the minimum energy.
This idea introduces the concept of the quantum (particle) nature of light, which is demonstrated by the photoelectric effect. When a metal surface is illuminated with light, electrons can be emitted from the surface. This is known as the photoelectric effect.

Hi Pat, Lloyd and all,
Thank you Pat for your discription of quanta which is also just my understanding. A ray of light is made up of different quanta and each quanta has a different number of packets of energy known as Planck. A quantity of Planck is a universal constant of energy and it is preserved, it cannot be created physically from nothing or distroyed. This is why I have a problem with the Big Bang theory and a singularity; it seems to hold that energy just popped out of nothing, as if it had created itself, and started to expand.
The expansion also at first, far exceeded the speed of light which violated Einstein's theory of relativity, since nothing can move faster than the speed of light. According to my theory, finite quantity of energy existed from the beginning in a black hole formation and slowly, through the laws of evolution, matter and anti matter were formed and consequently all the sub atomic, atomic particles, molecules, galaxies, stars and all the other heavenly bodies observed in the universe. I tried to fashion a theory that could account for, and respect all the known laws of nature without postulating new scientific principles. It is really only a new way of looking at the known physical principles. Even the idea of the quantum dimension, or the fifth dimension, I feel, was realy discovered by Albert Einstein because his special theory of relativity predicted that at the speed of light, the time dimension will be zero.

Hi Cosvis and Lloyd; I have some additional thoughts and questions about your theory Cosvis. May I view your theory as " The Big Leak Theory " instead of " The Big Bang Theory ". It seems both of our theories start with a black hole, mine explodes yours seeps. The main problem as I see it with the current big bang theory, is the asymmetrical assumption it proposes . But both big bang or eternal universes have the problem of antimatter. Yours pushes it to the end or edge of the universe, mine establishes an antimatter parallel universe. Either case problem handled. Faster than light, its not only possible, but I believe probable. Special Relativity does not prohibit particles going faster than light at all times. I believe there has been experiment in the lab that shows evidence of information going faster than light. While you might not agree with my idea of one and two dimensional entities ( i.e. strings, quarks ), if they do exist I see no reason why they could not travel faster than light. Surely ideas can travel faster than light. I remember reading a book written by Carl Sagan. At this time, before WMAP' the general theory was still big bang. And Carl wrote in his book that the entire universe started within something equivalent in size to a 20 lb brain. How remarkable I thought, Zeus's brain really did split to start all this. ( I was agnostic at the time ). Well now we have the universe expanding from a black hole or dimensionless point. The old something from nothing, and if that is the case then it's GOD and /or ILLUSION. Myself, I think both. Best to all, Pat

Let me offer some help... Nothing ever travels faster than light, yet light can have varrying speeds over time. In the past, stating light was traveling faster than today, is not saying anything is traveling faster than light, as light can never exceed itself, no more than anything can, but Distant Light can travel faster than local light... Some of the newest DSR physics is trying to validate this, and other group velocity divisions, with new experiments... http://www.zarm.uni-bremen.de/SR2005/speakers.htm http://ivantic.apnoia.org/fizika/rad...no-Camelia.pdf

Hi Lloyd; Thanks for the links. So is it POSSIBLE for the spatial inflation to occur as current theory describes? Best to all, Pat | |

Pat, I do not subscribe to the current spatial inflation model, due to the fact it's a background dependent theory. That is, it is dependent on a model coming from an infinitesimal mass point. Yet, much of the mechanics of black hole inflation can fit new models we may make... The new model scalings will decide the evolution of our ideas...
