Smile The eternal evolving universe. - 09-19-2007, 04:31 AM

Please pardon me for briefly introducing my topic. I have a vision of the cosmos which I call the Cosmic Vision and it consists of a comprehensive view of all reality. Reality to me can be divided or viewed from three different aspects: the physical, the rational and the personal. Each of these three different fields of reality has its own sphere of objectivity and unique laws or principles to govern its understandings and operations. All the different fields, however, constitute a beautiful cosmic harmony that make one whole where there are no contradictions or conflicts. If there seem to be conflicts, it is due to our inability or lack of comprehension of the true reality.

The physical reality observes and includes all the material aspect of the universeand is studied by means of the science of physics. It basically uses observations, mathematics and physical proofs to explain its reality and its operations. The philosophical aspect of reality, the science of philosophy, includes all logical thoughts, ideas, imaginations and artistic expressions. It uses the laws of logic for its investigations of reality. The personal aspect of reality or the science of religion, directs its understanding and observations on personal beings that have the ability to think, to remember, to have imaginations and the personal freedom to love. This would include the appreciation of what is, what is good, beautiful and loveable. It also includes a realisation of the existence of a supreme, eternal, just and loveable being that can and has revealed itself in history.

Here in this forum, I like to look at the physical aspect of reality and particularly, on the universe itself. We know that the universe exists in time; there is the present, the past and the future. We can speculate that the universe existed from the beginning of time and will exist until the end of time. We are not sure however, when time began and when it will end. The on thing we know is that time began in eternity and will end in eternity. Thus, we could say that the universe exists from eternity to eternity. How long that will be, we do not know; it could exist for ever.

Some might say that this idea is just wishful thinking and this might be so; but what I hold is that the universe is continously evolving. There exist in the universe a continuous evolutionary process and everything in it is affected. We are born, we live and we die. Stars are born, form solar systems, planets and other heavenly bodies but eventually, all are consumed and die out. Galaxies are continuously been formed, they are formed into various shapes and formations but eventually after their life span, they die.

The question to ask is how can galaxies be continuously formed? What is the mechanism in the universe that makes this possible? Is energy continuously created? These are some of the puzzles that need to be answered.

Please share with us your ideas.

Yours Cosvis.

Hi cosvis, welcome to TOEquest!

I liked you post and noticed similarities between your theory and mine. I don't know if you've read it but it's called the three theory and is on a forum here. The three different aspects you mention etc. My theory says the same thing, that the universe has existed forever and will continue to exist forever, like your eternity-eternity speculation.
I too have had thoughts about the biological evolution of galaxies which are non-organic. I'll post it today sometime, I wrote it when I was 17 and some ideas are a bit wacky but they make some sense at least!

The question that you asked about 'is energy continuously created' in my theory has both yes and no answers. There is a law, I think it's thermodynamics, that says that energy cannot be created. In my theory this is also true, because all the matter/energy in the universe has always existed. However, it also says that when energy/matter enter a black hole, they emerge from a white hole (in the same universe) but have been transformed into their opposites. Therefore, if dark energy or whatever you want to call it, entered a black hole, then it would emerge as energy. What do you make of that?
'What is the mechanism in the universe that makes this possible?'- the three theory would suggest that this is magnetism.

Dear Michael and ScottAnfield and all.

Thank you, Michael, for welcoming me to TOE Quest; it seems to be a very interesting site. It is a good forum to share one's ideas on our beautiful universe.

I am glad, ScottAnfield, that you have the same ideas of the eternal universe and may be we have many similar ideas on the cosmos. I like your idea of energy and a black hole. I believe that Einstein held, and it is commonly held by scientists, that energy cannot be created or distroyed. There is certainly lots of energy in the universe; it is all around us. If there is energy and it cannot be created or distroyed it must have existed from the very beginning and it will exist until eternity. While energy exists and it will most probably exist for ever, it is also true that energy is not infinite but finite. To me infinite energy is impossible or everything should at least be gold.

To me the basic understanding of the universe starts with the understanding of its basic stuff, energy. According to Einstein, everything can be converted to energy. (E= mcc) The basic form of energy is a photon, it travels at the speed of light in a vacuum; and we also know its quantity, a Plank constant.

Einstein speculated and it has been shown to be a fact, that light travelling from distant galaxies is affected by the gravitational pull of a star like our sun. If light which consists of a bundle of photons, is affected by the gravitational pull of a body of mass, than it must also have a gravitational element with a gravitational effect because gravitation can only work between two gravitational bodies. However, a photon travelling at the speed of light can not have relativity mass because according to Einstein no body with relativity mass can travel at the speed of light. If the photon has no relativity mass but does exhibit a gravitational effect, than it must have virtual mass eg. a mass not affected by the laws of relativity but still exhibiting a gravitational effect. Could this possible lead to an explanation of the dark matter speculated about to explain the missing matter of the universe?

Yours Cosvis.

Hi Cosvis;

I'm glad to see you started a thread with your theory.
I see you also use a trinity to account for our perceptions, physical, rational, and personal. Similar to yours, I break it down to mind, body, and spirit, or if you will mental, physical, and emotional. Again an invitation to you Cosvis to please view my site at: ( http://www.toequest.com/forum/yourto...2803-idea.html ), and hit the PDF file. I really would appreciate your comments. Thanks.

Back to your theory. Yes, I believe in a trinity of forces, and that we got that trinity right from the start.

I believe in a created or big bang universe, so I don't believe it is eternal. Concepts like eternity and infinity I leave to the realm of God.

I think Scott is probably right about black hole crunching matter down to energy and then emitting it as energy through a quasar or white hole.

As far as dark energy and dark matter, who knows.
My own theory is that luminous matter ( protons/neutrons/ ) is made up with 3 quarks, and that dark matter may be those free quarks, physicist can't find and dark energy may be the strings that didn't form quarks.

Interesting thread you started Cosvis.

Best to all,

Pat

Re: The eternal evolving universe. - 09-23-2007, 03:16 AM

Hi again Pat and all your good people.

Pat, I tried your very interesting site and I will get to know it better. Bear with me here now, as I try to continue to explain my theory on the physical universe; my TOE theory of the physical universe.

I just like to share some more ideas on the photon particle which I believe is the most basic, fundamental particle of the universe. It is also known as the vitual or the quantum particle. In the quantum theory, there is the quantum or virtual particle that transfers energy from one electron to another and thus alters its state. It has been shown by Einstein by his theory of the photoelectric effect that electrons are liberated from a substance exposed to electromagnetic radiation or photons. This shows that photons have a kinetic effect or in other words, it must have some virtual mass that causes the effect of liberating the electrons from the substance. When a billard ball hits another it transmits kinetic energy, however, when a photon hits an electron it adds energy so that it enables the electron to escape from the substance.

Einstein's theory of special relativity says that when a body with rest mass, increases its velocity, it increases in its mass. Thus we can speculate that when a photon hits an electron and it increases its speed so that it can escape from the substance, it also increases its mass. Where does this extra or gained mass and speed come from, except from the photon. The photon thus must have an element of mass or virtual mass, and both kinetic and gravitational energies.

There is still more to be said, next time, about the quantum particle or the photon, but I feel it is the beginning of a physical TOE theory. It is a theory not so difficult to understand if one is familiar with basic physics. All are welcome to share their ideas.

Yours Cosvis.

Hi Cosvis;

My study of the photon is that it's the energy that was converted from mass.

It's a 2 dimensional tranverse wave that give it the properties of a 3 dimensional particle.
It's speed is constant whether it's in a vacuum or not,
it appears to go slower in mediums because its interacting with the medium.
It has problem as you mentioned when it comes to mass. Most physicist believe it to be massless, or if there is mass it's to the -50th power or less.

Now here is my problem. What happened to the gravity that was in the mass? Is there a conservation of gravity? And if so does each little photon have its little share of gravity?

Best to you,

Pat

Dear Pat,

I believe the only particle in the universe that is void of a gravitational attraction is me.

Oh I doubt that MJA;

But what is your thought on the photon having mass?

Photons of energy or mass are equal or one and the same.
That's what I think.
