    Non-organic reproduction

Hi all, here is a theory that I thought of about 3 years ago about how biological reproduction can be seen in non-biological objects like comets and the like. It's a bit far oout but it does make some sense.

As you know, some comets contain amino acids that make life. These comets must have come from somewhere and the place they came from should contain life. Planets are shaped like a ball because of gravity, much like the ovum of a female. When comets pass by planets such as the Earth, they start to grow a tail, like the sperm of a male. An ovum cannot make life on its own, nor can a sperm. They are two components that need each other to create a life. The earth is barren without life and life cannot grow inside a comet as the conditions of space are not suitable. When a comet containing life hits a planet that has the right conditions to nurture the new life, life can grow. When the comet passes through the atmosphere, its outer shell starts to wear away with the atmospheric heat making it smaller. The smaller the comet is when it hits the earth, the less impact it will have on the surface. This means that the life inside would not be damaged as much. The impact also buries the comet in the earth if it hits land. As we know, water is under the surface of the earth. By the comet landing so close to this underground source of water, the chances of life are greatly multiplied as there is a direct available source of sustenance and nutrition that is essential for all life to exist and grow. The shock of the comet hitting the earth at such a great velocity might ‘awaken' the life that is inside, urging it to become active once again, or for the first time. This impact could also break open the comet, exposing it to the outside atmosphere and the vital water supply which supports life. Comets appear in clusters with many appearing at one time, rather than just a singular one. Lots of comets that appear together could possibly be a representation of the millions of sperm heading towards the egg at once. The earth is egg, the atmosphere is the womb (for making the right conditions) and the comets are the sperm.

I also have a theory on evolution of the life on the planet. Comets that contain life will land on different parts of the planet if they come together as a cluster but miles apart. The earth spins and as it does, the incoming comets will land on different parts of the turning earth. Some hot, some cold, some dry, some wet. The basic life that forms should adapt to its surroundings. Life that lands in water will develop with certain characteristics that will make it efficient to live capably in its surroundings. A theory on why all life contains the same building blocks on earth is the same as stated before, life from comets falls on different parts of the earth’s surface. This could be a reason why all animals have eyes, but are different organisms, the comets contained the same basic amino acids that make eyes but are varied by the environment in which they develop. These species that have adapted will then subdivide and evolve over years, to try and 'make' the most efficient animal to the surroundings other than the most basic forms. Maybe all life in the universe has the very same amino acids, but in their most basic form. Plants etc that do not have eyes could have come from a different comet and these plants have evolved, much like the animals

Great Scott, what a wonderful idea, this is the kind of thinking that can set off great new
insights, well done Scott,(ps,if I was not so humble,I would be proud of you?)

    warm regards michael.

Very interesting concept. We know the things that work will repeat themselves. I never did think of a cosmic sex act. Wonderful thought! Like the birds and the bees on a grand scale. I love it.
I have no doubt that whatever we ultimetly find as a truth, this will no doubt be part of it. It fits.

Thanks for the positive comments all , it is a strange concept isn't. I wrote it when I was 17 and it was just a thought that made sense after a program I saw about comets. I sent it to an astrobiologist in NASA (naively) and she told me that it was more metaphorical than physical. I'm now thinking about a possible connection between the DNA structures in the Everything is Magnetic post and what I wrote about non-organic reproduction.
