The Anachronism of Alpha & Omega -
10-07-2007, 03:41 AM
‘Beginning’ and ‘ending’, as applied to universal micro-macrocosmic issues, may be colorful word spinach, cultivated, fertilized and maintained, in an existentially isolated, man made greenhouse. - K.B. Robertson
Best regards, - RP http://forums.delphiforums.com/EinsteinGroupie
(George Berkeley, 1710) ... lay the beginning in a distinct explication of what is meant by thing, reality, existence: for in vain shall we dispute concerning the real existence of things, or pretend to any knowledge thereof, so long as we have not fixed the meaning of those words.
"All things come out of the one and the one out of all things." - Heraclitus "Reality is an illusion - albeit a persistent one." - Einstein "Particles give me a headache." - Ibid

For me, RP, with how you clearly describe micro and macro infinity on your site, it should be a given that it is an accurate depiction of universal reality. Yet it is the reality factor, as noted by Berkeley, that begs for clarity.
The in-between reality of before and after, the point in time, the eternal now, etc., is made of what? An extension of an unknown past? Since there should be no difference to something infinitely large or small, due to there being an endless array of smaller and larger scales, all referred to objects and times must therefore be the same, but what?
If the past is dead and the future yet unborn, and the present is the same as the past and future as per the above argument, how is it possible to define reality?

— In the NOW! —
The reward of the moment can only
Be had by being fully present for it,
For then there are no regrets of the dead past,
No worries to quake the unborn future.
— About Time —
Past that was leads to future that will be—
Transformational—“now” in the middle
Rolling smoothly through recall, sensation,
And anticipation. Time is movement!
— What Matter Was and Will Be —
Past matter is history—what’s occurred,
While future matter is progression seen.
Matter past to future changes structure,
That which moves and/or reforms through time.
— What Space Was and Will Be —
Past space is remembrance—the memories,
While future space is wishes, hopes, and dreams.
Space past to future is a change of outlook—
From what is known to what might become.
— Past & Future & Space & Matter —
Remembering history is learning;
Wishing of a progression is vision;
We venture on into creation from
Structural changes and education;
Direction is learning from outlook’s change,
While planning’s the formation of vision;
Vision and change of outlook beget growth;
All of no-where to now-here as Being.
— What, Where, Who, Then, and When —
“What” matter stabilizes in “where” space,
Begetting the appearances in motion as
“When” future moves through the “now” to “then” past—
This spirit of life granting our “who” being.
— Reality —
We operate through the where-to and where-from,
Using the what-then and the what-when of matter,
Leading to history, progress, wishes,
And remembrance, or being—
All made possible through the movement of
Appearances that creates past (then) and
Future (when) through the now, along with
Matter (what) in space’s place (where).
— Survival of the Fittest —
Subconscious trains of thought vie for attention;
The dueling choirs compete for first place
In the mind’s ‘I’—consciousness—to produce
Future, for this may be the task of thought.
— The Duos and Duels of Nature —
Dualities seem to assist nature:
Good/evil, on/off, hot-cold, man/woman,
Up/down, left-right, here-there, past-future, and
So, none can exist without the other.
— Timeless Time —
The moment contains eternal reward—
Both past and future are rolled thereinward.
Time never passes—it stays as it is;
Still, it is ceaselessly moving onward.
— Here and Now —
There’s NO LIFE in the dead past, just history,
Nor in the imagined future, a mystery,
But in the here and now life just arrives—
It’s a gift—that’s why it’s called the present.
— The Inner Sanctum —
Spontaneous, endearing acts allow
Dead yesterday and unborn tomorrow
To be dropped from the calendar, for,
In the love-temple, there is only NOW!
— Epitaph —
And when thyself with shining foot shall tread
The journey of life, unborn to the dead,
Take Heavenly sups from this earthly cup
And live your life while the wine flows red.

The Now is but a slight tape-delayed broadcast—or, as you might say, it could have all been broadcast long ago—that everything has long since happened.
So, I'm giving you your belated memorial now, along with some of your poetic words written in the archaic language of long ago, when you once were.
