Dear Graybeard,

No, how could I dare say that the great Feynman idea is crazy! What I have done is go back to refresh his lecture in the topic “The reason for antiparticle” in the book “Elementary particle and the law of physics”. Below is my comment;

There is one serious weak point; i.e. according to the relativistic quantum field in which his assumption was based on, the calculated energy of quantum activity (which give rise to particle-antiparticle) is approach infinity! So it seems that this is not a good candidate for the dark energy/matter.

Feynman delivered this lecture (the above) at CalTech in 1964 ? This lecture included the above hypothesis. I only have this lecture on Audio ..... I will relisten and make some notations and post back here (just in case I have misunderstood).

However you can listen to the same lecture (in principle) but absent this hypothesis at the following link. Feynman delivered this lecture (the below link) at Cornell Univ also in 1964.

Here's my spam from the Cosmology thread, which explains a likely 'Dark Energy' mechanism:

When a 'crunch' condenses below its Schwarzchild Radius, I propose (via an energy based Lorentz tranformational recursion) a duality is formed. We know time = 0 seconds at an event horizon. Therefore, beneath this boundary, t becomes negative and recursive (according to the Lorentz Transform). The inner convergence, creating the out-riding recursive expansion.

Therefore, Dark Energy possibly originates from sub-Schwarzchild radius condensation.

It seems that you got stuck to the conventional anti-matter concept! I have look on the Philophysics... topic, and found that it is a long complicate discussion. So I just concentrate on the last two pages, and found that you try to convince the existence of anti- particle by reference to the standard model of particle physics.

“What give rise to the standard model of particle physics?” is my interesting unsolved problem that was quoted in Wikipedia. My addition is that - Originally,thetheory was start from the non-aether based quantum mechanics, and then extends to relativistic quantum mechanics which based on the concept that vacuum space was filled with quantum activity of virtual particles. Finally it was expanded to arelativistic quantum gauge field theory in which Higgs field was postulated to pervade vacuum space, i.e. it is indeed aether based theory.

Armed with the new concept of Vacuum mechanics (the mechanism of vacuum medium), we could answer the mentioned problem. And we could also understand that actually all the unstable particles and antiparticles created by the collision of the stable particles are the disturbed parts of vacuum medium! Detail will be explained in my improving of the theory; the next paper “Completed standard model of particle physics” is now under preparation.

In contrast, my new concept is that the universe was created from Vacuum medium (i.e. the primordial substance) forming to be the infrastructure of our space-time. When the universe is expanding (orcontracting) then Vacuum medium is also increasing (ordecreasing) at the same time; no Vacuum medium no universe!

When the Universe is expanding the vacuum medium is also expanding .... ??? It does not have to follow ... the universe could be expanding within the primordial substance ... and the primordial substance would not have to register this expansion .... in other words the expansion could be subjective to the 'internal' Universe ?

Sorry, I am not so clear about your explanation, would you please give in more detail. Anyway, I will try to answer by adding more detail that “the universe expands by the increasing volume of vacuum medium while its density is constant”.

What I was trying to say here is that if the Universe is just a drop within the Fundamental Substance or Vacuum Medium and that spacetime is a property of the Universe, then the 'expansion' of the Universe which we account for by measurements 'within' the Universe may not be applicable to the Fundamental Substance or Vacuum Medium ?

In other words, the tape measure we use inside Doctor Who's Telephone Box is not applicable to what is outside Dr Who's telephone box ?
