    blind watchmaker

    Why is Darwin's theory of evolution and the emergence of human intelligence reveals a universe without design? Subsequent discussions will be based on Richard Dawkins book 'The Blind Watchmaker', 1986. He is also the author of the book 'The Selfish Gene'.

    The emergence of human intelligence and any other evolution is simply the product of the process described by Darwin:
    condition+adaptation-->natural sellection.
    Therefore, there is no divine condition causing this process. And so there is no design of the universe, as evolution, the ultimate process achieved (up to what humans know) by nature, is a self-ceative method of improvement.

    I won't be able to add any more to this discussion until I read both of the books by Richard Dawkins (1) The Selfish Gene and (2) The Blind Watchmaker. At the rate I'm going, might take more than a month.

    I am reading "The Ancestors Tale" by Richard Dawkins and it is a good read. A little too full of anecodes and a lack of narrative thread in parts, but overall good.

    Thanks. I found a copy and adding it to my reading list. Now a new projected completion dateline will take me more than 3 months to finish all 3 books.
