Smile emerging from the sub-conscious-Ideas! - 08-05-2006, 08:01 PM

Many years ago I had a vivid dream, which of late, keeps reoccuring in my mind,so,I intend to share it and see where it leads, and alsoby sharing it, it will be exorcised from my consciousness? The dream was that I found myself amid a mighty current, this liquid was spinning and spirraling downwards, as I watched this action, It was as though, I was an observer, observing this phenonmena, I felt completely at ease and relaxed, nowwhile i was observing this, it appeared as though the force of the current, the rotary spin was having the effect of making the water or liquid go solid? I remember thinking, that this is very odd,by rotating rapidly, solidification of the liquid was occuring? How is that possible? What do youthink?
i will further this later.

kind regards michael,

raises an interesting point Michael, do solids vibrate at lower pitches than liquid which are at lower pitches than gases?

Michael,

Before wondering about the physical implications of the event, don't you think it's possible that your mind was showing you your fear with un stable things in life (which are liqious) and your will for them to be more like solids? This is the first message I got form the dream.

That may very well be the case, my Amigo. However this dream occured many years ago. and is now surfacing, I think that as I am now on toequest and have access to more information, this might be the reason! The main pointfor mefrom the dream was that somehow the rapid rotation seemed to cause the liquid to solidify?

Following on from this idea, dream, the main thing that stands out, is that somehow the nature of spinning can cause solidification of liquids?Could this be a gravity induced thing? When one is subjected to centrifugal force, G force you feel heavier!Have you gained any weight? Are you more solid than before? Are dense matter, (solid) related in any way to rotation? And gravity? And there seems to be a vortex here! There was certainly a downward spin in the dream and that very motion turned the liquid into a solid?

regards michael.

Well in that case, there is no physical possibility that the rapid rotation of a liquid makes it become a solid, for the rapid rotation could only produce heat, whiles solidifying requirs decrease of temperature.

Is that absolutely so though, what if youflex your muscles,do thay not go
rigid and hard! And is notgforce a feelingof heaviness of more solid-like?

You are thinking too big. You can't take laws to be applied at all 'levels of talk' (term which I use to describe the different ways that language is used to talk about reality). Water is a liquid made made of H2O, and your muscless are organs made of tissues made of cells made of molecules of which many are far more complex than H2O. That's why you can't use what happens in one and generalize it to the other, cause they are at different levels of tlak (the first is chemistry, the second is biology). And in fact the sensation described by you depends mostly on the mind, and that's going into an even higher level of talk.

You may well be right there myfriend, although I do wonder if there really
issome significance here! And may somehidden principle be at work here?

regards michael.

Isn't the force acting on the liquid in a rapidly rotating cylinder indistinguishable from the gravitational force acting on the liquid in a cup on your table? If we could somehow turn a knob that increased the gravitational field of the planet supporting the table with the cup of liquid what would we see? The table would collapse, the cup would break spilling the water, the planet would begin to shrink and temperatures would begin to rise. Continue turning the knob and molecules would break down, electrons would break loose and we would have a plasma, a fourth state of matter. Eventually on our way to the singularity we would see neutron-degenerate matter and maybe other stuff. However, none of these states of matter would be considered solid in the usual sense.

Many thanks for your very detailed and interesting reply Robert, what you said of course made sense! But maybe that is the stumbling block, that blocks
our vision to another way?Maybe we sometimes need to look at no-sense as
well? Some aspects of reality can only be understood from the irrational
perspective!A kind of Ying and Yang. The positive side, and the negitive side.
The force in the dream, that was causing the mighty eddy to form, and to spiral
downwards, may not have been water! It looked like it,but could have been
another form of colourless liquid! It just seemed so real, and to keep appearing
in mind, suggests maybe a force or maybe hidden principle awaiting discovery?
Rotation and solidification seem to be somehow linked together in this, and
are I feel inseperable.

regards michael.
