It can't be free if the oil is required at 1200F before combustion ?

Factored in economic inflation, i don't understand why an F-22 Raptor jet fighter costs $150 millions a piece?

Re: emerging quasiparticles to solve cold fusion

Fighter jets are cheeep compared to passenger Jets. I was recently on a brand new Jumbo ... when an important part disintegrated and we had to dump the fuel and land very quickly... later after we had all changed our nappies, the pilot informed us that the liddle part that had disintegrated cost more than a fighter jet ??

    cool bananas ... greg

that would be the reason that passenger jet carries more people each with multimillion dollar prize tag.

Yes ... but it would nice to roll up to the airport and have the valet tell you, "Your fighter jet is awaiting you on the tarmac, Sir. This way please Sir"

Rather than being stuck into a seat that resembles a baby's high chair which they euphemistically call 'economy class' for 16 hrs.

Do you think that if no flying creatures had ever evolved on the Earth, would we have ever achieved man-made flight, or even thought of it ??

And I'm assuming there may just be a chemical reaction strong enough to create a neclear reaction__somehow...???

The oil ain't burned Greg__It's in the crankcase, but none can leak into the combustion chamber, unless it's combustable temp is above the compression temp, or the oil explodes the engine, such as std. oil would do...

Both Merlins and Allisons used water injection, but Merlins had far more power__of course__Then the P-51's saved the day...

I stay at a campground just outside the Tyndal Airbase where the F-22's are tested daily, in Mexico Beach, Florida. Know some of the wing-wipers. In testing, F-22 went up against 12 F-15's in mock fighting__F-22 shot down all 12 F-15's... The F-15's didn't even see the F-22, ful stealth fighter... I'd say they are worth every penny, since the number of F-15's to replace the same capability of one F-22 costs far more...

More than likely the Wright brothers got the idea from watching a maple leaf floating in the wind, coasting along until it's vanished out of sight.
